On the basis of body weight and measured longitudinal and transversal parameters at fixed points on he skeleton, the physical development of 11-year-old schoolchildren from Koper in the 1993/94 ...school year is assessed. The sample contains 30 girls and 30 boys; all measurements are taken with standard anthropometric instruments. Fifteen physical parameters and two indexes are statistically treated according to sex. Comparisons are made between the sexes and between 11-year-old children fromthe 1972 and 1993/94 generations. Sexual differences showed that girls achieve higher values for most parameters, although sexual differences rarely have any statistical significance. The secular trend on the Slovene coast over the period of the last 22 years is mild.
