  • Other variations on self-colliding reacting beams

    The controlled non-thermonuclear fusion of kinetic energies of ions above 1 MeV is considered. Four magnetic configurations with in-itself closed trajectories of charged particles are described as ... proposals. The following unproved assumptions are emphasized. Space charge compensation is achieved with suitably chosen distribution of positive ions and electrons. Electrion kinetic energy losses due to collisions and radiation are negligible. The in-itself axial symmetrics strong focussing of ions and electrons provides the necessary high current and high current density. The external magnetic fields yield the in-itself closed trajectories. The deionization cross section is of the same order of magnitude as the nuclear fusion cross section at the chosen kinetic energy of ions.
