  • Bending design of RC circular cross sections according to EC2 standard [Elektronski vir]

    The paper discusses the bending analysis of a reinforcement concrete circular cross section implementing the parabola-rectangle design stress-strain relationship for the concrete as given by EC. It ... covers two possibilities that result from the value of the maximal strain in concrete ▫$\epsilon_c2$▫ that appears at the more strongly compressed edge of the compressive zone. In the first case, the stresses are assumed to have a parabolic distribution, andin the second case the stresses are partially described by a parabolic function and partially by a constant value. For both cases mentioned, the paper presents the development of the analytical expression for coefficients ▫$\alpha_v$▫ and ▫$k_a$▫.
