  • Spatial model of rock-fall [Elektronski vir]

    The analytical solution of a rock fragment motion on a spatial mathematical model of steep arbitrary slope with overhang at its top is derived. The main objective of the paper is to establish the ... motion of the rock fragment that can be used to determine the force impact on the barrier. The results of parametrical analyses for the given geometrical and mechanical characteristicsare coordinates of rebound points, heights of the rebounds, velocities and their changes due to collision as well as resulting energies. The use of the solution is shown on a practical example of the Melje hill, where the height of the rebound and velocity of the roch piece at the locationof a barrier was searched. From the type of the barrier, mass and velocity of the rock piece, we determined the force impact acting on the barrier.
