Preživljavanje u prirodi kao socialno pedagoška metoda = Survival in nature as a socio - pedagogical method

In addition to formal education, it is important to equip young people with a diverse set of social skills and other competencies that will help them best cope with the unpredictable challenges of ...today and the future. This unpredictability and uncertainty can be presented to young people or others through survival camps in nature, where they experience firsthand all the advantages, weaknesses, and obstacles that nature and people provide. Based on experiences from current practice, we can argue that young people need different approaches that are not only tied to everyday tasks and school but also involve their active participation, seeking and strengthening individual strengths, boosting self-confidence and a positive self-image, empowerment or directing towards individual resources, facing unpleasant situations and problems, and developing other social skills. One of the different ways of working with young people is also survival camps. Survival camps in nature are also intended for children and young people with emotional and behavioral problems or disorders.
