The emergence of animated video media is becoming an open space for teachers to enhance the quality of learning in primary schools. The use of this animated video media provides a great effect on the learning success of dance class. This study employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study showed that learning outcomes, both knowledge and motoric skills, improved after the implementation of animated video media. Animated video in this study has several characteristics, they are (a) the video media is in line with the 2013 Curriculum, (b) the video media contains appreciation activities, (c) the video media is based on student characteristics, (d) the video media contains the concept of meaning, definition, substance, and core, (e) the video media consists of materials for explaining dance moves, (f) the video media provides examples of moves for each step, and a series of dance moves, (g) the video media comprises clear and complete information, (h) the media is easy to use, (i) the video media has clear pictures and easy to remember, (j) the video media is equipped with interesting design, clear setting of menu and other components.
