    Journal Article

The front cover artwork is provided by the research group of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Popp at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Friedrich Schiller University Jena and Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology. The image shows how coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopy is used to map the distribution of vitamin A localized in the hepatic stellate cells of the liver. Read the full text of the article at 10.1002/cphc.201600929. “The intralobular distribution of vitamin A is visualized using coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering spectroscopy with the aid of multi‐photon excited auto‐fluorescence and second harmonic generation imaging to identify the rest of the background tissue structure.” This and more about the story behind the front cover can be found in the Full Paper at 10.1002/cphc.201600929.
