Summary Weight‐length relationships were established for eleven marine fish species caught in the SE Aegean Sea, Turkey. Additionally, a bibliographic review of such relationships for these species was conducted. Based on the results, the values of b parameter varied between 2.477 and 3.496, with one species having isometric growth, five negative and six positive allometric growth. Furthermore, for Aulopus filamentosus there exist no information in the literature, whilst for Callanthias ruber and Gnathophis mystax, there are no such information available from the Mediterranean.
