    In 2006 we carried out a research about the leisure time activities of women, aged over 65, at the School Centre Rudolf Maister Kamnik. 26 women from Kamnikand 6 women from Domžale of the avarage age ... of 69,68 years were included in the research. The research was repeated in 2011. 20 women from the same group still actively participated four years later, the avarage age was now 74,35 years. The participants of the research dedicated most of their freetime to gardening, watching TV, reading and meeting relatives and friends. As far as sports activities are concerned, most women focused on taking walks and walking, cycling, hiking, swimming, dancing, sleighing, alpine skiing, doing exercises at home and general exercising. The aim of the research was to find out preferences of activities of women aged over 65 as well as to highlight the possibilities of including women over 65 into different social and recreational activities in the local environment, for example at the pensioners' associations or other forms of social and adult daycare centres.
