    Background and purpose: the quality of seawater regarding the trophic state is attaining important economic value in many coastal marine environments. The aim of our work was to apply two trophic ... indices (Fp ratio and the trophic index TRIX) for assessment of the trophic state of the coastal sea: in areas not directly affected by anthropogenic nutrient enrichment, and in the coastal waters near underwater sewage outfall and fish farms.
