  • Leksika v Mukičevem romanu Garaboncijaš

    The novel Garaboncijaš was published in 2005 in the story collection Med Rabo In Muro (Between the Raba and Mura Rivers), subtitled Porabska legenda (The Porabje Legend), written by France Mukič. At ... phonological, morphological, syntactical and lexical levels the work is based on the Prekmurje Goričko subdialect. Numerous tropes and figures of speech show that this is a work of art, as it elevates above a dialect and forms the contemporary Prekmurje literary language with a 200-year-long tradition. The lexis is Pannonian Slovene, especially the one in the Goričko, only 47 words are borrowed from Hungarian language, numerous loanwords are taken from German and have remained in the dialect until today.
