  • The new strategies in organisation of subcontractors

    The paper presents new trends in the organisation of larger manufacurers (especially in the vehicle industry). The vehicle manufacturers don't perform all of the research and development any more. ... Certain components and parts are developed and manufactured by the development subcontractors, which take all responsibility for their work. They must take into consideration demands given by the manufacturer. If needed, they can also incorporate smaller non-development subcontractors, which take all responsibility for their work. They must take into consideration demands given by the manufacturer. If needed, they can also incorporate smaller non-development subcontractors. Regarding small development subcontractors rapid and flexible development (computer aided, development of various parts) is of a great importance. Complete computer aided process performed by the development subcontractors is presented on an example of a lower arm of an independent suspension.
