  • A three-dimensional boundary element analysis of elasto-plastic cracked problems

    Based on the theoretical background, the formulation for the three-dimensional elasto-plastic analysis has been enhanced and implemented in the computer program. The algorithm utilisies the initial ... strain apporach to satisfy the material non-linearity. The discretization incorporates the continuous and the discontinous boundary elements. Also included are the domain cells with the linear and quadratic approximation. The non-linear boundary element results are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and usefulness of the method.
