  • Modular development of prediction knowledge base

    Computer technology is, as in all engineering areas, increasingly implemented in clothing engineering, too. It is necessary to be in trend and use or simulate complex inhomogeneous textile material ... structures with the help of computerised tools. The paper describes the manner of including fabric mechanical property parameters and their behaviour responses into a knowledge base, functioning within the framework of MSAccess software. In this way a prediction of fabric behaviour in garment manufacturing processes is obtained, providing mechanical properties are known for the fabric analysed. At the same time, information on the fabric used from mechanical viewpoint is given to the clothing manufacturer and possible problems indicated. All this leads to the production of high quality clothing at lower production costs.
