    The author presents children with severe mental and physical development handicap. In the frames of nursing care, one of life activities, i.e. movementand positioning in appropriate positions are ... described. In these children the needs deriving from restricted movement are very evident and influence all other life activities. The purpose of the present article is to present handling these children require to present and future health workers. Planned nursing interventions require professional knowledge, human approach and corresponding equipment. Stressed is the mode of following childs own movements which should not be overtaken but accepted in the frames of its own rhythm which is slower than ours. The author presents some of the necessary tools for these children in institutions and at home.
