    The graduation thesis presents books from 16th century, which are a part of bigger collection of rare and valuable books in Srečko Vilhar public library in Koper. The thesis is devided into two ... parts. The first part presents the history of printing from the beginning to the 17th century with the emphasis on the printing in Istria, the role of the book in the 15th and 16th century society and the characteristics of the book from the 16th century compared to the incunabula. The second part there are descriptions of the 38 books from the collection. The contents, the author, the printer- publisher and the book structure are presented.
