    Working with handicapped people is a source of chronic stress. We resonate as people and we are moved by other peoplećs misfortunes. Sometimes we choose notto hurt and we defend our peace of mind by ... hiding behind a mask of Ćprofessional helpersĆ, thus not being open and emotionally available. However, we are aware of the fact, that the best help coms from a person who is wholly there for you. When we enter any relationship as a whole person, theresult is mutual satisfaction and growth. The correlation between chronic stress and disease is positive and strong enough to allow prediction of a disease. To preserve good health in spite of frequent stressful situations, one must be active in four dimensionsČ physical, mental, social as well as spiritual.
