    ǂThe ǂpaper deals with qualitative analysis of data which can be found in input-output tables. The methodology is based on graph theory. The application of qualitative input-output analysis allows a ... compression of reproduction flows of the economy into a simple graph, which enables us to graphically represent the connections of the economic system. The paper presents not only the methodology, but also two examples based on data for Slovenia for 1993 and 2000. For the empirical application, a special program for the Matlab environment was developed. The results show that qualitative analysis should not be used as a stand alone tool in economic policy. The main advantage of the analysis is the possibility of creating an overview of the structure of the economy.
