  • Participative management and workers participation in the period of transition - the case of Slovenia

    The transition from the former socialist self-management to future post socialism requires the change of property. Former social property will be transformed into private and state property. The ... business enterprises will be in the privatisation process predominantly transformed into (majority) ownership of employees (workers and managers). This structure of property introduces a number of conflicting interests property and interest structure. Former worker's self-management is replaced with a new scheme of workers participation in management, giving workers the right of codetermination and consultation. The employers oppose this scheme, therefore, it simply does not function yet.
