According to the analysis of the turbulent intensity level around the high-speed train, the maximum turbulent intensity ranges from 0.2 to 0.5 which belongs to high turbulent flow. The flow field ...distribution law was studied and eight types of flow regions were proposed. They are high pressure with air stagnant region, pressure decreasing with air accelerating region, low pressure with high air flow velocity region I, turbulent region, steady flow region, low pressure with high air flow velocity region II, pressure increasing with air decelerating region and wake region. The analysis of the vortex structure around the train shows that the vortex is mainly induced by structures with complex mutation and large curvature change. The head and rear of train, the underbody structure, the carriage connection section and the wake region are the main vortex generating sources while the train body with even cross-section has rare vortexes. The wake structure development law studied lays foundation for the train drag reduction.
This paper describes a new method to design a laser mirror with high reflectivity, wide reflection bandwidth and high laser- induced damage threshold. The mirror is constructed by three materials of ...HfO/TiO2/SiO2 based on electric field and temperature field distribution characteristics of all-dielectric laser high reflector. TiO/SiO2 stacks act as the high reflector （HR） and broaden the reflection bandwidth, while HfO2/SiO2 stacks are used for increasing the laser resistance. The HfO/ TiO/SiO2 laser mirror with 34 layers is fabricated by a novel remote plasma sputtering deposition. The damage threshold of zero damage probability for the new mirror is up to 39.6 J/cm^2 （1064 nm, 12 ns）. The possible laser damage mechanism of the mirror is discussed.
The performance of broadband polarizing beam splitters（PBSs） is sensitive to the incident angle.By taking account of the spectrum of the laser source and using the needle optimization method,a large ...acceptance angle PBS for laser-based displays is designed.The average degrees of polarization in transmission and reflection can reach 0.989 and 0.980 for an acceptance angle of 13.6in air using two materials,while better results of 0.993 and 0.989 for an acceptance angle of 14.8？in air are attained when three common materials are used.Both designs consist of 40 layers.
Objective： To evaluate the therapeutic effects of needle-rolling therapy for chronic insomnia. Methods： In the present multi-central randomly controlled clinical study, 180 cases of chronic insomnia ...were randomly divided into the following two groups, a treatment group （90 cases） treated by the needle-rolling therapy and a control group （90 cases） treated with clonopin. The treatment course for both the two groups was 4 weeks. The therapeutic effects were evaluated based on improvement of the TCM symptoms and the Pittsburgs＇s sleep-quality index （PSQI）. Results： After treatment, there were significant differences between the two groups in the effective rate （P〈0.05）, and in the total score of PSQI and in the scores of the 4 sub-items, i.e. sleep-quality, sleep-efficiency, hypnotic and daytime function （P〈0.05）. Although there was no significant difference between the two groups in the effective rate after a 3-month follow-up period, significant differences still existed in the 3 sub-items of sleep-efficiency, hypnotic, and daytime function of the PSQI （P〈0.05）. Conclusion： As compared with hypnotics of the second generation, the needle-rolling therapy may show better therapeutic effects for chronic insomnia patients.

Silver moony (Monodactylus argenteus) is a common aquarium ornamental species in Taiwan. Due to study on nitrite toxicity in silver moony is lack, an acute toxicity test was ...carried out by exposing the juvenile fish to 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 and 150 mg/L NO2−N for 96 h. The determined median lethal concentration (96 h - LC50) was 54.5 (42.5-67.9) mg/L NO2−N. The impacts of sublethal nitrite exposure were further investigated. After exposure to 28 mg/L (2 mM) NO2−N for 7 days, decrease of hepasomatic index and increase in plasma glucose levels, osmolality and chloride concentration were observed. Gill Na+/K+-ATPase (NKA) response elevated in silver moony when exposed to sublethal nitrite. In protein quality control (PQC) mechanism, expression of branchial and hepatic heat shock protein (HSP) 90 and 70 up-regulated in response to sublethal nitrite exposure while the levels of ubiquitin-conjugated proteins were constant. The present study showed that sublethal nitrite exposure might be a stressor to affect ionic balance and homeostasis of cellular proteins, and then activation of NKA responses and PQC mechanism was essential for ionoregulatory adjustment and protein stability. This study provided the information to clarify the potential treats of sublethal nitrite toxicity to multi-physiological regulation of seawater teleosts.
Stability analysis of gravity retaining wall was currently based on the assumption that the wall had no embedment depth. The effect of earth berm was usually neglected. The present work highlighted ...the importance of embedment depth when assessing the seismic stability of gravity retaining walls with the pattern of pure rotation. In the framework of upper bound theorem of limit analysis, pseudo-static method was applied into two groups of parallel rigid soil slices methods in order to account for the effect of embedment depth on evaluating the critical acceleration of wall-soil system. The present analytical solution is identical to the results obtained from using limit equilibrium method, and the two methods are based on different theory backgrounds. Parameter analysis indicates that the critical acceleration increases slowly when the ratio of the embedment depth to the total height of the wall is from 0 to 0.15 and increases drastically when the ratio exceeds 0.15.
