Famphur is one of the pesticides used in bee‐farming and is a highly hazardous pesticide, as classified by the World Health Organization (WHO). In this study, a method analyzing the residual famphur ...in four kinds (acasia, wild, chestnut, and manuka) of honey was established, using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC/MS) after effective sample preparation with solid‐phase extraction (SPE). Optimization of SPE parameters for sample pretreatment was performed by varying the pH of sample and the volume and type of the extraction solvent. Gas chromatographic separation was carried out using a DB‐35 MS column (30 m length × 0.20 mm i.d. × 0.33 μm film thickness). Based on the established sample preparation technique and GC/MS parameters, the limits of detection (LOD) and quantitation (LOQ) in fortified sample were 2 ng/g and 5 ng/g, respectively. The precision and accuracy within the calibration curves were 1.0–27.7 RSD % and 63.7–118.4%, respectively. The square of the correlation coefficients (r2) obtained from the concentration range (5–50 ng/g) of calibration curves for quantitative assay was 0.9883 to 0.9958. The established method was applied to the analysis of famphur in domestic and imported honey samples.
Effect of the eluent type on recovery.
This study aims to examine the social context of the usage of collocations related to "Dongtan" in online communities and analyze the process by which the place name has become entrenched as a ...neologism. The research material comprised posts from a real estate gallery on the online community DCinside from January 2021 to December 2023. Based on the text data collected from these posts, the collocations used with the keyword "Dongtan" were categorized according to their usage patterns in terms of category, period, and meaning. Thus, the collocations were classified into five chief categories and confirmed to have positive, negative or ambivalent meanings. This study quantitatively analyzes the changes in the frequency of usage and appearance of "Dongtan" and related collocations over time. Furthermore, it examines the meanings of the words used in conjunction with "Dongtan" in actual texts within their social context. Using this analysis, the study reflects on how the meanings of collocations related to "Dongtan" are changing and expanding in usage. KCI Citation Count: 0
Steroid cell tumors account for less than 0.1% of all ovarian tumors. There are three steroid cell tumor subtypes: steroid cell tumor not otherwise specified (NOS), stromal luteoma and Leydig cell ...tumor. Steroid cell tumor, NOS, is the most common type and has malignant potential. This report describes a case of an ovarian steroid cell tumor, NOS. A 35-year-old woman visited hospital with the complaint of metrorrhagia. Physical examination revealed increased pubic hair. Transvaginal ultrasound indentified a 4.9 × 3.4 cm, well-circumscribed and solid left ovarian tumor. After laparoscopic left oophorectomy, the tumor was revealed as an ovarian steroid cell tumor, NOS. During the laparoscopic surgery, tumor ruptured. Complete surgical staging was performed and no evidence of metastasis was found. Gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist was administered monthly for 6 months. KR-31064 was developed for the strong angiotensin II receptor antagonist among the one of pyridyl imidazol series compounds. To investigate the receptor-ligand binding characteristics of this ...nonpeptide antagonist, binding experiments were deployed in various conditions and ex vivo contractile responses were tested toward the standard compound, losartan. Receptor binding experiments with radiolabeled angiotensin II, the $IC_{50}$ value for KR-31064 resulted 0.67 nM without any activities toward type 2 angiotensin II receptor. The comparative potency against losartan was more than 18 fold and the specific activity in type 1 angiotensin II receptor was more than 10,000 fold comparing to the type 2 receptor. Scatchard analysis of saturation binding data showed KR-31064 acted on the receptor in a competitive mode. KR-31064 inhibited the contractile response derived by angiotensin II ($pK_B$: 9.86) similar to that of losartan with decreased maximum signals. As a potent and specific type 1 angiotensin II receptor antagonist, KR-31064 may have possibilities for the development of diagnostic ligands that can be used as tools for various biochemical research experiments and non-invasive diagnostics.
This study analyzed changes in extreme precipitation trends over Pakistan for the period of 1961-2020. The changes in extreme precipitation trends were compared between two normal climate periods ...(1961-1990 and 1991-2020) over different precipitation regions of Pakistan. The Mann-Kendall test was applied to validate the trends of extreme precipitation. The changing rate of extreme precipitation trends was measured by Sen’s slope estimator. The results show that the number of heavy precipitation days increased in the Baluchistan plateau, Central plains, and Core monsoon regions for the period of 1961-1990 while decreased in the Southern desert regions in the period 1991-2020. The very heavy precipitation days increased in the Central plain, Muree Hills, Potwar, and Upper Indus pain regions during the period of 1991-2020. The decreasing trends of annual precipitation on wet days were analyzed in the Upper Indus Plain, Potwar, and Central Plains regions of the country.
An increase in the number of five consecutive days was observed in the Potwar region, while it decreased in the Southern desert regions of the country during the period of 1991-2020. The analysis showed a significant increase in the intensity of extreme precipitation over the Northwestern mountainous, Muree Hills, and Central Plains regions of the country over the last three decades. Overall, the intensity of all extreme precipitation indices (R10, R20, PRCPTOT, and RX5) increased with greater tendency over the Northwestern mountain and Central plain regions while decreased in the Northwestern Baluchistan plateau and Southwestern regions of Quetta during the period of 1991-2020 compared to 1961-1990. 17-4 precipitation hardened stainless steel (17-4PH SS) has been reported to have excellent mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance, and is one of the materials used and studied with ...the powder bed fusion (PBF) method. Powder bed fusion (PBF) is a new manufacturing technology that has recently attracted attention in automotive, aerospace and other industries because of its ability to produce complex geometries for high-strength and lightweight applications. In the PBF process, each layer has a different laser scan length resulting from the application of laser rotation. The laser rotation could affect the laser scan length, which causes a difference in the peak temperature and cooling rate of the deposited layer, resulting in microstructure changes. This work aims to investigate how varying the laser scan pattern in the PBF process affects the microstructure and mechanical properties of 17-4PH SS. A decrease in cooling rate was observed after applying laser scan rotation, resulting in a higher austenite phase fraction. It was confirmed that a transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) phenomenon affects mechanical characteristics. These results could be suggested for fabricating thin wall shaped such as tire blow mold parts in the powder bed fusion process using the 17-4PH SS.
