The MUNU detector was designed to study ν¯ee− elastic scattering at low energy. The central component is a Time Projection Chamber filled with CF4 gas, surrounded by an anti-Compton detector. The ...experiment was carried out at the Bugey (France) nuclear reactor. In this Letter we present the final analysis of the data recorded at 3 bar and 1 bar pressure. Both the energy and the scattering angle of the recoil electron are measured. From the 3 bar data a new upper limit on the neutrino magnetic moment μeshort<9×10−11μB at 90% CL was derived. At 1 bar electron tracks down to 150 keV were reconstructed, demonstrating the potentiality of the experimental technique for future applications in low energy neutrino physics.
The so-called rigor—relevance gap appears unbridgeable in the classical view of organization science, which is based on the physical sciences’ model. Constructivist scholars have also pointed out a ...certain inadequacy of this model of science for organization research, but they have not offered an explicit, alternative model of science. Responding to this lack, this paper brings together the two separate paradigmatic perspectives of constructivist epistemologies and of organizational design science, and shows how they could jointly constitute the ingredients of a constructivism-founded scientific paradigm for organization research. Further, the paper highlights that, in this constructivist view of organizational design science, knowledge can be generated and used in ways that are mutually enriching for academia and practice.
The MUNU experiment was carried out at the Bugey nuclear power reactor. The aim was the study of ν̄ee− elastic scattering at low energy. The recoil electrons were recorded in a gas time projection ...chamber, immersed in a tank filled with liquid scintillator serving as veto detector, suppressing in particular Compton electrons. The measured electron recoil spectrum is presented. Upper limits on the neutrino magnetic moment were derived and are discussed.
We report on high statistics measurements of neutrino energy spectra carried out at 15, 40 and 95 meters from a 2800 Megawatt reactor, using detection modules filled with
6Li-loaded liquid ...scintillator. No oscillations have been observed. Exclusion zones for oscillation parameters are deduced from the observed consistency of the spectra at the three distances. The minimum excluded values of the
δm
2 and sin
22θ parameters are 1 × 10
−2eV
2and 2 × 10
−2 (at 90% CL), respectively.
The Bugey 3 neutrino oscillation experiment has provided high statistics neutrino energy spectra recorded at 15 and 40 meters from a nuclear reactor core. Assuming no oscillations, the measured ...spectra favor a model of reactor spectrum based on the beta spectra measured at ILL.

We report on the performance of a 1m3 Time Projection Chambers filled with CF4 at 3 bar, immersed in liquid scintillator and viewed by photomultipliers. Particle detection, event identification and ...localization achieved by measuring both the electric current and the scintillation light are presented. Particular features of α particle detection are also discussed. Finally, the 54Mn photopeak, reconstructed from the Compton scattering and recoil angle is shown.

scattering. We give here a general description of the experiment, and an estimate of the expected counting rate and background. The construction of the time projection chamber is described in details. Results of first test measurements concerning the attenuation length and the spatial as well as energy resolution in the CF
4 fill gas are reported.
We present the results of an analysis of the large angular scale distribution of the arrival directions of cosmic rays with energy above 4 EeV detected at the Pierre Auger Observatory including for ...the first time events with zenith angle between $60^\circ$ and $80^\circ$. We perform two Rayleigh analyses, one in the right ascension and one in the azimuth angle distributions, that are sensitive to modulations in right ascension and declination, respectively. The largest departure from isotropy appears in the $E > 8$ EeV energy bin, with an amplitude for the first harmonic in right ascension $r_1^\alpha =(4.4 \pm 1.0){\times}10^{-2}$, that has a chance probability $P(\ge r_1^\alpha)=6.4{\times}10^{-5}$, reinforcing the hint previously reported with vertical events alone.
