Abstract
Research about pattern recognition on electroencephalography (EEG) signal of finger motor imagery (MI) plays a critical role in Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) based hand prosthetics ...development. However, the previous research still used irrelevant channels to finger MI. This work proposed optimal EEG channels combination for five-finger MI. It is achieved by subject-dependence channel selection using One versus Rest Common Spatial Pattern (CSP-OVR) combined with sequential searching algorithms due to specific neural activation areas of MI. Optimal channels combinations are of great importance to reduce channels number. It supports the development of practical BCI-based hand prosthetics that can help hand handicapped to do daily activities easier. Experimental results show 4 out of 19 channels are relevant to five-finger MI with 0,6% accuracy degradation compared with EEG-MI pattern recognition using 19 channels. This result is better than the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) channel selection method that only selects 11 out of 19 channels with 1 % accuracy degradation.
Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) is a type of γ-herpes virus which cause kissing disease. The virus induces cancer and causes latent infection. EBV protease is one of the constituent capsid proteins that ...play an important role in assembling virions on nucleus and spreading them. Therefore, this enzyme potentially became one of inhibition target which have impact on the termination EBV life cycle. During this time, drugs to inhibit this enzyme had not been studied. This study aimed to examine dehydroevodiamine as a potential inhibitor EBV protease by molecular docking method. The docking was done through both blind and specific docking techniques and the Ki values were calculated using docking approach when RMSD is 0 Å. Molecule visualization was done using PyMol and dehydroevodiamine profile identification was done on Ro5. The results showed that dehydroevodiamine has binding affinity of -9.8 kcal/mol and -7.3 kcal/mol; predicted Ki (STP) of 1,426729x10−8 and 1,431479x10−6 for blind and specific docking, respectively. Dehydroevodiamine profiles does not violate Ro5. These values indicated the potential of dehydroevodiamine as an oral drug candidate for kissing disease. This finding opens possibility to do further work on wet-lab-levels.
Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) is actually not new in the world of information technology. Indonesia became the second largest country in terms of IoT implementation in Southeast Asia, Indonesia ...only lost to Thailand. The implementation of IoT has been carried out by several local companies such as Blue Bird, Pertamina Patra Niaga and Gojek. The IoT application has also been developed by several children of the nation such as Spekun and Qlue who are currently in the stage of business development. In the implementation of IoT several things become important to pay special attention to, including security systems, platforms, operating systems, communication standards and data analytics. Seeing the rapid development of IoT around the world, the Indonesian government is expected to be able to drive the development of IoT in Indonesia by assisting the development of information technology infrastructure and standardization in the implementation of IoT. In addition, the government is expected to be able to encourage the development of human resources that have capabilities not only as workers’ resources but also as creators of new technologies for the development of IoT. In the end, cooperation between the government, the private sector and the support of the Indonesian people is expected to make Indonesia have competitive advantages in the development of IoT, so that it can attract investors to enter Indonesia.
This research aims are to determine the development of plant reproduction props to increase the motivation and communication of mentally retarded students in SLB Widya Bhakti Semarang. This research ...is a research and development that produces development products in the form of plant reproduction props. In this research, the population in this research was eighth grade students of SLB C Widya Bhakti Semarang. Communication skills from 49.3% in the first meeting reached 93.75% in the sixth meeting, learning motivation from 49.5% in the first meeting to 93.5% in the sixth meeting, the average result of the pretest was 7.8 and average the average posttest value is 8.5, and the magnitude of the influence of plant reproduction props uses an effect size of 4,6 which is included in the category very large. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a very large influence between plant reproduction props on communication skills and learning motivation of mentally retarded students at SMPLB C Widya Bhakti Semarang.
Abstract
The spread of the 2019 Corona virus Disease pandemic (Covid-19) resulted in many organizational entities being forced to redesign business processes, reducing the cost of reducing working ...hours, to terminating employment (layoffs). The informal sector has the worst impact. Thus, both the government and the private sector make various efforts in overcoming problems of social impact that arise. One of them is through the formation of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid19 (covid19.go.id) as a single contact crisis center. However, the extent of the impact that arises will result in preventive, curative and promotive efforts at risk of not being handled properly. The implementation of knowledge management based on graphs (knowledge graph) will enable agile integration between various sources of information. The Graph Data Model captures the relationships of various different entities by connecting them through the edge of information extracted from various heterogeneous sources. After the data is represented in a graphical format, there are various analytic graph techniques for asking multi-hop (multi-node) relationships between entities in the knowledge graph that is built. In addition, graphs allow users to visualize data quickly, interactively and exploratively for analysis.
Introduction: Indonesia is a country with a high geographical distribution of hepatitis A. In June 2019, the government established the status of hepatitis A outbreaks in Pacitan District, which is ...spread across several districts. Based on data from the District Health Office of Pacitan, there were 1,310 peoples with hepatitis A on October 2019. Through this study, the relation between knowledge, attitudes, and personal hygiene as risk factors of hepatitis A outbreaks in Pacitan District can be identified. Methods: Observational analytic methods and case control research design were used in this study. The population was 280 people. The sample consisted of 60 peoples with case of 30 peoples and control of 30 peoples. Case and control samples were taken randomly (simple random sampling). The research data were collected using the interview method, then analyzed using the Chi Square test and the Contingency Coefficient. Results and Discussion: There was a correlation between knowledge level with the occurrence of hepatitis A outbreaks (p-value = 0.002 <0.05), attitudes with hepatitis A (pvalue = 0.004 <0.05), and personal hygiene with the occurrence of hepatitis A outbreaks (pvalue = 0.001 <0.05). Conclusion: Inadequate knowledge, inappropriate personal hygiene lead to the spread of hepatitis A outbreaks in the working area of Primary Health Care of Ngadirojo, Pacitan District.
Introduction: e Covid19 virus has an outer lipid sheath that is not tolerant towards disinfectants, but this virus can quickly infect humans with a fairly high mortality rate. The increasing Covid19 ...patients directly proportional the amount of solid medical waste production in hospitals. This study aims to identify the health protocol in solid medical waste management in one of the Covid19 patient referral hospitals in Surabaya, East Java. Method: We used descriptive observational research with secondary data for the data compiling method. The obtained data were then compared with the 2020 Guidebook on Waste Management in Referral Hospitals, Emergency Hospitals, and Public Health Centers that Handles Covid19 Patients, issued by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. Result and Discussion: Research results showed that the management of all solid medical waste yielded from the Covid19 Special Isolation Room is directly infectious, went through the incineration process using an incinerator with the primary burner set at 800o C and the secondary burner set at minus 1.000o C. The usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by medical waste trolley carriers was inappropriate. The officers only used surgical masks, head caps, gloves, shirt, and work shoes, without using any apron. Conclusion: Health protocol for medical waste management in one of the Covid19 patient referral hospitals in Surabaya, East Java has been implemented, but the usage of PPE by medical waste trolley carriers was still inappropriate.
Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) are commonly experienced by children, infants, and toddlers. This study analysed the relationship of several factors that cause the occurrence of ARI in Toddlers, ...namely temperature, humidity, exposure to cigarette smoke, and the use of mosquito repellent.
This study used the meta-analysis method by doing a literature search and then finding the value of the effect size using JASP.
The research with meta-analysis showed that the smoking behaviour of family members is the highest risk of ARI in toddlers with a value of PR=E1.57=4,572 (95% CI 1.28-1.77). Furthermore, ventilation is the second highest risk of ARI in toddlers, with PR=E1.36=3.896. Then the humidity condition with the value of PR=E1.31=3.706. Other variables, such as air temperature risk increasing the incidence of ARI up to 2,829 times, and mosquito coils that had an impact up to 2,293 times increased the risk of ARI in Toddlers.
All variables can increase the risk of ARI in toddlers, with the three most potent variables being smoking behaviour, ventilation, and humidity. Other variables can still increase the risk of ARI in toddlers, but to a lesser extent
Measles is a highly contagious disease caused by the morbillivirus. According to WHO data, measles is one of the worldwide leading causes of death in children and infants. Indonesia is one of the ten ...countries with the most significant measles cases worldwide. Cases in Indonesia have increased due to a decrease in immunization coverage in Indonesia during the pandemic. Besides low immunization coverage, other factors that influence the incidence of measles in Indonesia are nutritional status, mother’s knowledge, and occupancy density. This study aims to analyze the risk factors of immunization status, nutritional status, Mother’s knowledge, and occupancy density for measles in Indonesia. This study used a meta-analysis method. The data sources used are Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Science Direct, from 2012-2021. The research articles found in this study are 148 articles. The report is then selected by screening to choose the year and research method and continued selection using inclusion criteria. Thus, the articles analyzed in this article are 23 research articles. The results showed that the variable immunization status, nutritional status, Mother knowledge, and occupancy density have risk factors for the incidence of measles in Indonesia. The result of measuring the pooled OR value sequentially from immunization status, nutritional status, mother’s knowledge, and occupancy density is e1.26=3.53; e0.72= 2.05; e1.36= 3.82; e1.34= 3.89. The variable with the highest risk factor value for measles incidence in Indonesia is the occupancy density, followed by the Mother’s knowledge; immunization status; and nutritional status.
In this essay, I explore the concept of radical rhetoric by writing about my own personal experience as an Indonesian woman studying in the United States. In this piece, I examine the liminality of ...my identities, the contradictory expectations and difficulties of navigating myself in this discipline of rhetorical studies, and my ongoing effort to bridge my academic journey with my true self through three sequential questions: Am I heard? Am I listened to? Am I understood? Gloria Anzaldúa said that being a bridge requires embracing fluidity, uncertainty, and risk. As such, this essay reflects on my journey as a radical intervention to transcend ourselves into bridges-constantly connecting other spaces, other realities, and other alternatives despite difficulties and constant challenges. Being a bridge is to tell ourselves that people have other ways of intervention that we, a part of western academia, may not have the language for. Being a bridge is to never stop interrogating the system but at the same time keep trying to recognize the existing small insurgencies and overlooked acts of agency. Being a bridge is to believe (and make sure) that there is always a place for everyone in this discipline.
