A search for double-

Ru was realized in the underground Gran Sasso National Laboratories of the INFN (Italy) with the help of ultra-low background HPGe

An experiment to search for double beta processes in 106Cd by using cadmium tungstate crystal scintillator enriched in 106Cd (106CdWO4) in coincidence with the four crystals HPGe detector GeMulti is ...in progress at the STELLA facility of the Gran Sasso underground laboratory of INFN (Italy). The 106CdWO4 scintillator is viewed by a low-background photomultiplier tube through a lead tungstate crystal light-guide produced from deeply purified archaeological lead to suppress γ quanta from the photomultiplier tube. Here we report the first results of the experiment after 3233 hours of the data taking. A few new improved limits on double beta processes in 106Cd are obtained, in particular T1/22νεβ+ ≥ 8.4 × 1020 yr at 90% C.L.
Feasibility studies on a search for
7Li solar axion have been carried out. In particular, the data collected with a LiF powder of 243 g measured during 722 h with a 408 cm
3 low background HP Ge ...detector (GSOR) at the Gran Sasso National Laboratories (LNGS) of INFN has allowed to set limit on the
7Li solar axion mass of 13.9 keV, better than the previously available one: 16.0 keV A.V. Derbin, et al., JETP Lett. 81 (2005) 365. It has also been shown that improved results would be achieved with LiF(W) crystal which—in contrast with the LiF powder—does not show a relatively high contamination by U/Th chains. The potential backgrounds and the reachable sensitivity of an experiment are discussed.

The DAMA/LIBRA experiment, running at the Gran Sasso National Laboratory of the I.N.F.N. in Italy, has a sensitive mass of about 250kg highly radiopure NaI(Tl). It is mainly devoted to the ...investigation of Dark Matter (DM) particles in the Galactic halo by exploiting the model independent DM annual modulation signature. The present DAMA/LIBRA experiment and the former DAMA/NaI (the first generation experiment with an exposed mass of about 100kg) have released so far results corresponding to a total exposure of 1.17 ton × yr over 13 annual cycles. They provide a model independent evidence of the presence of DM particles in the galactic halo at 8.9 (C.L. The obtained results are shortly summarized and the future perspectives of the experiment addressed.
The DAMA/LIBRA set-up (about 250 kg highly radiopure NaI(Tl) sensitive mass) is running at the Gran Sasso National Laboratory of the INFN. The first DAMA/LIBRA results point out the presence of a ...dark matter particle component in the galactic halo, as well as the former DAMA/NaI set-up; cumulatively the data support such evidence at 8.2
σ
CL and satisfy all the peculiarities of the dark matter annual modulation signature.
