Abstract
A double-peak X-ray burst from the Galactic magnetar SGR J1935+2154 was discovered to be associated with the two radio pulses of FRB 200428 separated by 28.97 ± 0.02 ms. Precise measurements ...of the timing and spectral properties of the X-ray bursts are helpful for understanding the physical origin of fast radio bursts. In this paper, we have reconstructed some information about the hard X-ray events, which were lost because the High Energy X-ray Telescope (HE) on board the Insight-HXMT mission was saturated by this extremely bright burst, and used the information to improve the temporal and spectral analyses of the X-ray burst. The arrival times of the two X-ray peaks by fitting the new Insight-HXMT/HE lightcurve with multi-Gaussian profiles are 2.77 ± 0.45 ms and 34.30 ± 0.56 ms after the first peak of FRB 200428, respectively, while these two parameters are 2.57 ± 0.52 ms and 32.5 ± 1.4 ms if the fitting profile is a fast-rise and exponential decay function. The spectrum of the two X-ray peaks could be described by a cutoff power law with cutoff energy ∼60 keV and photon index ∼1.4; the latter is softer than the result obtained in Li et al. when the two X-ray peaks appeared.
To identify the association between the expression of lncRNA NEAT1 and clinicopathological characteristics of patients with HCC, and to explore the prognostic significance of lncRNA NEAT1 in ...predicting prognosis of HCC.
We retrospectively reviewed 86 patients with HCC (35 female, 51 male) managed in our institution between 2009 and 2014. The expression level of lncRNA NEAT1 was detected by real-time PCR. Prognostic factors were evaluated using Kaplan–Meier curves and Cox proportional hazards models.
For the entire cohort of 86 patients, we showed that the expression level of NEAT1 was significantly higher in HCC tissues compared with non-tumorous tissues and NEAT1 was increased obviously in the HCC cell lines including SMMC-7721, Huh-7 and Hep3B (P < 0.001). MTT assay showed that si-NEAT1 remarkably inhibited the cell proliferation in three HCC cell lines. Moreover, over-expression of lncRNA NEAT1 was closely related to liver cirrhosis (P = 0.026), microvascular invasion (MVI) (P = 0.023), and TNM stage (P = 0.017). After adjusting for competing risk factors, we identified that expression level of lncRNA NEAT1 was an independently risk factor associated with the prognosis of patients with HCC (P = 0.031).
In this study, we found NEAT1 expressed significantly higher in HCC tissues compared with non-tumorous tissues. Overexpression of lncRNA NEAT1 was an independently risk factor associated with the prognosis of patients with HCC.
We have successfully synthesized the amorphous silicon/carbon (a-Si/C) multilayer thin films by magnetic sputtering method. The bonding characteristics and phase identification were investigated by ...X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectrum. The electrochemical performance of the a-Si/C multilayer thin films as anode materials for lithium ion batteries showed that with various thicknesses of Si layers, the electrodes displayed huge differences on the reversible capacity and cycling stability. The 500 nm a-Si/C multilayer films, with the thickness ratio dSi:dC = 5:1, displayed a high reversible capacity of about 2000 mA h g-1 over 200 cycles at 1C rate and a best structure integrity at various charging/discharging rates test. The micro-scale a-Si/C multilayer thin films (1.1 mu m) also showed a good cycling performance with a capacity of about 1900 mA h g-1 at a current density of 2000 mA g-1 over 200 cycles.
To analyze the hepatic tissue inflammatory activity and influencing factors in HBeAg-positive patients during normal alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and indeterminate phases so as to provide a basis ...for evaluating the disease condition.
Patients with HBeAg-positive with normal ALT and HBV DNA levels below 2 × 10(7) IU/ml from January 2017 to December 2021 were selected as the study subjects. A histopathologic liver test was performed on these patients. Age, gender, time of HBV infection, liver function, HBsAg level, HBV DNA load, genotype, portal vein inner diameter, splenic vein inner diameter, splenic thickness, and others of the patients were collected. Significant influencing factors of inflammation were analyzed in patients using logistic regression analysis, and its effectiveness was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves.
Of the 178 cases, there were 0 cases of inflammation in G0, 52 cases in G1, 101 cases in G2, 24 cases in G3, and one case in G4. 126 cases (70.8%) had inflammat
We have used an external cavity self-injection feedback locking (SIFL) system to simultaneously reduce the optical linewidth of over 39 individual wavelength channels of an InAs/InP quantum dot (QD) ...coherent comb laser (CCL). Linewidth reduction from a few MHz to less than 200 kHz is observed. Measured phase noise spectra clearly indicate a significant decrease in phase noise in the frequency range above 2 kHz. The RF beating signal between two adjacent channels also shows a substantial reduction in 3-dB linewidth from 10 kHz to 300 Hz with the SIFL system, and a corresponding drop in baseline level (-27 dB to -50 dB).
This investigation experimentally studies the low-frequency alternating-current magnetic susceptibility (χac) of amorphous and nanocrystalline CoFeB films by measuring the magnetic field established ...by passing currents of various frequencies through such films of various thicknesses (tf). A CoFeB film is sputtered onto a glass substrate with tf from 100Å to 500Å under the following conditions: (a) As-deposited films were maintained at room temperature (RT) and (b) films were post-annealed at TA=150°C for 1h. The samples thus obtained are analyzed in a magnetic field that was generated by an alternating current (AC) at various frequencies from 10Hz to 25,000Hz. The experimental results demonstrate that the χac declines as the thickness of the as-deposited sample and the post-annealed sample (TA=150°C) increases because the lower coercivity (Hc) of thinner CoFeB films is similar to a soft magnetic characteristic and is associated with a higher χac value. The best χac value is obtained at a thickness of 100Å under both conditions. The χac value of the post-annealed sample exceeds that of the RT sample at thicknesses from 100Å to 500Å because the magneto crystalline anisotropy of the post-annealed sample yields the highest χac value at the optimal resonance frequency (fres), at which the spin sensitivity is maximal. The X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD) of as-deposited CoFeB films reveal their amorphous structure. The XRD results for the post-annealed films include a main peak at 2θ=44.7° from the body-centered cubic (BCC) nanocrystalline CoFe that indicated a (110) textured structure. Post-annealing treatment caused that the amorphous structure to become more crystalline by a thermally driven process, such that the χac value of the post-annealed sample exceeded that of the RT sample. This experimental result demonstrates that the χac value decreased as the thickness of the thin film increased. Finally, the CoFeB thin films had the best χac at low frequency (<50Hz) following post-annealing treatment. The results obtained under the two conditions indicate that the maximum χac value and the optimal fres of a 100Å-thick CoFeB thin film were 1.6 and 30Hz, respectively, following post-annealing at TA=150°C for 1h, suggesting that a 100Å-thick CoFeB thin film that has been post-annealed at TA=150°C can be utilized as a gage sensor and in transformer applications at low frequencies.
► The best χac value is obtained at a thickness of 100Å under both conditions. ► The χac value of the post-annealed sample exceeds that of the RT sample at 100Å to 500Å. ► Magneto crystalline anisotropy of the post-annealed sample yields the highest χac value. ► The optimal resonance frequency (fres) means the spin sensitivity is maximal. ► The maximum χac value and the optimal fres of a 100Å-thick CoFeB thin film were 1.6 and 30Hz.
beta decay of proton-rich nuclei plays an important role in exploring isospin mixing. The beta decay of P-26 at the proton drip line is studied using double-sided silicon strip detectors operating in ...conjunction with high-purity germanium detectors. The T = 2 isobaric analog state (IAS) at 13 055 keV and two new high-lying states at 13 380 and 11 912 keV in Si-26 are unambiguously identified through beta-delayed two-proton emission (beta 2p). Angular correlations of two protons emitted from Si-26 excited states populated by P-26 beta decay are measured, which suggests that the two protons are emitted mainly sequentially. We report the first observation of a strongly isospin-mixed doublet that deexcites mainly via two-proton decay. The isospin mixing matrix element between the Si-26 IAS and the nearby 13 380-keV state is determined to be 130(21) keV, and this result represents the strongest mixing, highest excitation energy, and largest level spacing of a doublet ever observed in beta-decay experiments.
This experiment aimed to study the effects of dietary calcium (Ca) and non-phytate phosphorus (NPP) levels on performance, serum biochemical indices, and lipid metabolism in Beijing You Chicken ...(BYC), a local chicken. A 3 × 3 factorial design was adopted, dietary Ca levels were 0.66, 0.71, and 0.76%, NPP levels were 0.25, 0.30, and 0.35%. A total of 648 ten-wk-old BYC growing pullets were randomly divided into 9 groups with 6 replicates per group, and 12 birds per replicate. Growth performance, serum biochemical indices, and lipid metabolism indicators from 10 to 16 wk were measured. The results showed as follows: 1) Dietary Ca and NPP alone did not affect growth performance, but the interaction of dietary Ca and NPP affected average feed intake (AFI) of growing pullets (P < 0.05). The AFI was the lowest for the group with 0.71% Ca and 0.25% NPP (3,550.0 g, P = 0.036). 2) Dietary Ca level significantly affected serum P content (P < 0.05); dietary NPP had an influence trend on serum Ca content (P= 0.054). Dietary NPP levels and the interaction of Ca and NPP significantly affected alkaline phosphatase (AKP) activity. 3) Dietary Ca levels significantly affected TC content and HDL-C content (P < 0.05). Dietary NPP level significantly affected TG content (P < 0.05), the TG content in 0.25% and 0.30% NPP groups was significantly lower than that in 0.35% NPP group (P < 0.05). The interaction of dietary Ca and NPP significantly affected TG, TC and HDL-C contents (P < 0.05). TG, TC, and LDL-C levels were lower and HDL-C levels were the highest in the group with 0.66% Ca and 0.25% NPP. In summary, appropriate dietary Ca level can regulate serum TG, TC, and HDL-C content. Dietary Ca and NPP levels can be adjusted in pullet phase to avoid excessive obesity during the egg-laying period. This study recommended that dietary 0.66% Ca and 0.25% NPP benefit for the lipid metabolism of BYC growing pullets without affecting the performance.
The aim of this study was to explore the correlation between muscle RAS oncogene homolog (MRAS) gene polymorphism and the onset risk of atherosclerosis (AS).
A total of 135 AS patients diagnosed and ...treated in our hospital from November 2017 to October 2018 were randomly enrolled in the observation group. Meanwhile, 150 healthy adults were selected as control group. Venous blood was withdrawn from all the subjects, and DNAs were extracted. MRAS gene loci rs9818870 and rs3755751 were analyzed by the multiplex SNaPshot method, and their correlations with the onset risk of AS were explored.
No statistically significant differences in the frequencies at gene loci were observed between the two groups (p>0.05). Subjects with genotype TT at rs9818870 exhibited significantly higher risk of AS (p=0.041<0.05). The recessive model of rs9818870 (GG + AG/AA) in AS patients with coronary heart disease was correlated with AS (p=0.048<0.05). Similarly, the dominant model of rs3755751 (TT/TC+CC) in those with hypertension was associated with AS (p=0.027<0.05).
MRAS gene is correlated with the onset of AS to a certain degree.
