In this paper, a hybrid multi-objective scheme is proposed to complete simultaneously four objectives, i.e., the specified primary task for the end-effector, obstacle avoidance, joint-physical limits ...avoidance, and repetitive motion of redundant robot manipulators. In addition, corresponding theoretical analysis is given, which guarantees the validity of the proposed scheme. Then, the proposed hybrid multi-objective scheme is reformulated as a dynamical quadratic program (DQP) problem. The optimal solution of the DQP problem is found by the PLPE (piecewise-linear projection equation) neural network, i.e., PLPENN, and also by the corresponding numerical algorithm implemented on the computer. Furthermore, simulation and comparison based on a six-link planar redundant robot manipulator substantiate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed scheme. At last, a hardware experiment is conducted on a six-link physical robot manipulator system, which substantiates the physical realizability, operational stability, and safety of the proposed hybrid multi-objective scheme.
The electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) process usually suffers extremely low Faradaic efficiency and ammonia yields due to sluggish NN dissociation. Herein, single‐atomic ruthenium ...modified Mo2CTX MXene nanosheets as an efficient electrocatalyst for nitrogen fixation at ambient conditions are reported. The catalyst achieves a Faradaic efficiency of 25.77% and ammonia yield rate of 40.57 µg h−1 mg−1 at ‐0.3 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode in 0.5 m K2SO4 solution. Operando X‐ray absorption spectroscopy studies and density functional theory calculations reveal that single‐atomic Ru anchored on MXene nanosheets act as important electron back‐donation centers for N2 activation, which can not only promote nitrogen adsorption and activation behavior of the catalyst, but also lower the thermodynamic energy barrier of the first hydrogenation step. This work opens up a promising avenue to manipulate catalytic performance of electrocatalysts utilizing an atomic‐level engineering strategy.
Single‐atomic ruthenium modified Mo2CTX MXene nanosheets are developed as an efficient electrocatalyst for nitrogen fixation under ambient conditions. In this paper, we propose a topology of Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) based on a metaheuristic optimization algorithm for the tracking control of mobile-manipulator while enforcing nonholonomic ...constraints. Traditional approaches for tracking control of mobile robots usually require the computation of Jacobian-inverse or linearization of its mathematical model. The proposed algorithm uses a nature-inspired optimization approach to directly solve the nonlinear optimization problem without any further transformation. First, we formulate the tracking control as a constrained optimization problem. The optimization problem is formulated on position-level to avoid the computationally expensive Jacobian-inversion. The nonholonomic limitation is ensured by adding equality constraints to the formulated optimization problem. We then present the Beetle Antennae Olfactory Recurrent Neural Network (BAORNN) algorithm to solve the optimization problem efficiently using very few mathematical operations. We present a theoretical analysis of the proposed algorithm and show that its computational cost is linear with respect to the degree of freedoms (DOFs), i.e., O(m). Additionally, we also prove its stability and convergence. Extensive simulation results are prepared using a simulated model of IIWA14, a 7-DOF industrial-manipulator, mounted on a differentially driven cart. Comparison results with particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm are also presented to prove the accuracy and numerical efficiency of the proposed controller. The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is several times (around 75 in the worst case) faster in execution as compared to PSO, and suitable for real-time implementation. The tracking results for three different trajectories; circular, rectangular, and rhodonea paths are presented.
Due to the existence of time-varying chaotic disturbances in complex applications, the chaotic synchronization of sensor systems becomes a tough issue in industry electronics fields. To accelerate ...the synchronization process of chaotic sensor systems, this paper proposes a super-exponential-zeroing neurodynamic (SEZN) approach and its associated controller. Unlike the conventional zeroing neurodynamic (CZN) approach with exponential convergence property, the controller designed by the proposed SEZN approach inherently possesses the advantage of super-exponential convergence property, which makes the synchronization process faster and more accurate. Theoretical analyses on the stability and convergence advantages in terms of both faster convergence speed and lower error bound within the task duration are rigorously presented. Moreover, three synchronization examples substantiate the validity of the SEZN approach and the related controller for synchronization of chaotic sensor systems. Comparisons with other approaches such as the CZN approach, show the convergence superiority of the proposed SEZN approach. Finally, extensive tests further investigate the impact on convergence performance by choosing different values of design parameter and initial state.

The assessment and prediction of regional water quality are fundamental inputs to environmental planning and watershed ecological management. This paper explored spatiotemporal changes in the ...correlation of water quality parameters (WQPs) and land-use types (LUTs) in a reticular river network area. Water samples of 44 sampling sites were collected every quarter from 2016 to 2018 and evaluated for dissolved oxygen (DO), total phosphorus (TP), ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N), and permanganate index (CODMn). A redundancy analysis (RDA) and stepwise multiple linear regression (SMLR) were applied to analyze the land-use type impacts on seasonal WQPs at five buffer scales (100, 200, 500, 800, and 1000 m). The Kruskal-Wallis test results revealed significant seasonal differences in NH3-N, TP, CODMn, and DO. The area percentages of farmland, water area and built-up land in the study area were 38.96%, 22.75% and16.20%, respectively, for a combined total area percentage of nearly 80%. Our study showed that orchard land had an especially favorable influence on WQPs. Land-use type impacts on WQPs were more significant during the dry season than the wet season. The total variation explained by LUTs regarding WQPs at the 1 km buffer scale was slightly stronger than at smaller buffer scales. Built-up land had a negative effect on WQPs, but orchard and forest-grassland had a positive effect on WQPs. The effects of water area and farmland on WQPs were complex on different buffer scales. These findings are helpful for improving regional water resource management and environmental planning.
Based on a bio-heuristic algorithm, this paper proposes a novel path planner called obstacle avoidance beetle antennae search (OABAS) algorithm, which is applied to the global path planning of ...unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Compared with the previous bio-heuristic algorithms, the algorithm proposed in this paper has advantages of a wide search range and breakneck search speed, which resolves the contradictory requirements of the high computational complexity of the bio-heuristic algorithm and real-time path planning of UAVs. Besides, the constraints used by the proposed algorithm satisfy various characteristics of the path, such as shorter path length, maximum allowed turning angle, and obstacle avoidance. Ignoring the
-axis optimization by combining with the minimum threat surface (MTS), the resultant path meets the requirements of efficiency and safety. The effectiveness of the algorithm is substantiated by applying the proposed path planning algorithm on the UAVs. Moreover, comparisons with other existing algorithms further demonstrate the superiority of the proposed OABAS algorithm.
Mobile robots are becoming more and more widely used in industry and life, so the navigation of robots in dynamic environments has become an urgent problem to be solved. Dynamic path planning has, ...therefore, received more attention. This paper proposes a real-time dynamic path planning method for mobile robots that can avoid both static and dynamic obstacles. The proposed intelligent optimization method can not only get a better path but also has outstanding advantages in planning time. The algorithm used in the proposed method is a hybrid algorithm based on the beetle antennae search (BAS) algorithm and the artificial potential field (APF) algorithm, termed the BAS-APF method. By establishing a potential field, the convergence speed is accelerated, and the defect that the APF is easily trapped in the local minimum value is also avoided. At the same time, by setting a security scope to make the path closer to the available path in the real environment, the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method are verified through simulative results.
Hydrogen production from electrochemical water splitting is a promising route to pursue clean and sustainable energy sources. Here, a three-dimensional nanoporous Cu–Ru alloy is prepared as a ...high-performance platinum-free catalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) by a dealloying process. Significantly, the optimized nanoporous alloy Cu53Ru47 exhibits remarkable catalytic activity for HER with nearly zero onset overpotential and ultralow Tafel slopes (∼30 and ∼35 mV dec–1) in both alkaline and neutral electrolytes, achieving a catalytic current density of 10 mA cm–2 at low overpotentials of ∼15 and ∼41 mV, respectively. Operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy experiments, in conjunction with DFT simulations, reveal that the incorporation of Ru atoms into the Cu matrix not only accelerates the reaction step rates of water adsorption and activation but also optimizes the hydrogen bonding energy on Cu and Ru active sites, improving the intrinsic activity for HER.
