There is considerable ...interest in investigating the deoxygenation process, due to the high oxygen content of the feed-stocks used for the production of renewable fuels. This review addresses studies related to the catalytic hydrodeoxygenation of two feed-stocks (a) oils with high content of triglycerides and (b) oils derived from high pressure liquefaction or pyrolysis of biomass. Future research directions that could potentially bridge the existing gaps in these areas are provided.
The aim of this article is to investigate the sensing performance of NO gas molecule on the graphene nanoribbon domain for the determination of structural and electronic properties. Effect of an ...alkali metal (lithium) and a transition metal (iron) on the armchair oriented graphene nanoribbon (ArGNR) surface for the sensing purpose of NO gas has been performed through the quantum mechanics based Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. Various configurations of ArGNR doped with Li and Fe atoms such as one-edge doped, center doped, both-edge doped Li-ArGNR and Fe-ArGNR have been simulated, and a detailed comparative study of lithium and iron doping on different configurations of ArGNRs for the adsorption energy, stability analysis, band gap analysis and density of states analysis has been quantitatively evaluated. By comparing the adsorption energy of NO, it is found that Li doping enhances the strength of NO adsorption on the different variants of ArGNR. Computational results predict that the undoped ArGNR is insensitive to the NO gas adsorption with adsorption energy of about −0.41 eV. Our results determine that substitutional doping of Li doping at one edge doped and both-edge doped position increases the adsorption abilities of ArGNRs in these configurations with adsorption energies of approximately −6.92 eV and −9.64 eV that is 16 and 23 times greater than the pristine ArGNR (Pr-ArGNR). Band nature for both type of doping estimates the changing behavior of ArGNRs from semiconductor to metallic transition after the adsorption of NO molecule. It is concluded that the Li doping at one edge and both edge position of ArGNR makes it an excellent potential sensing material for the sensing purpose of NO gas as compared to the Fe doped configurations.

First Principles adsorption phenomenon of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas on surface of undoped armchair graphene nanoribbon (AGNRs) and Osmium doped AGNRs (Os-AGNRs) is reported. Adsorption energies and electronic properties of AGNRs doped with osmium atom in three possible configurations like one-edge doped, center doped and both-edge doped has been investigated theoretically using DFT. Results of adsorption energies revealed that undoped AGNR is insensitive to H2S gas with adsorption energy of about −0.25 eV. Whereas, osmium doped AGNRs at one-edge and both–edge doped position is having adsorption energies −6.67 eV and −9.67 eV, which is nearly 26 times and 38 times more than undoped AGNR. The both edges doped configuration shows significant variation in band gap after adsorption of gas. The study suggests that this novelboth edges doped Os-AGNRmaterial can be highly suitablefor H2S gas adsorption and sensing applications.
Abstract
Charged lepton system symmetry under combined charge, parity, and time-reversal transformation (CPT) remains scarcely tested. Despite stringent quantum-electrodynamic limits, discrepancies ...in predictions for the electron–positron bound state (positronium atom) motivate further investigation, including fundamental symmetry tests. While CPT noninvariance effects could be manifested in non-vanishing angular correlations between final-state photons and spin of annihilating positronium, measurements were previously limited by knowledge of the latter. Here, we demonstrate tomographic reconstruction techniques applied to three-photon annihilations of ortho-positronium atoms to estimate their spin polarisation without magnetic field or polarised positronium source. We use a plastic-scintillator-based positron-emission-tomography scanner to record ortho-positronium (o-Ps) annihilations with single-event estimation of o-Ps spin and determine the complete spectrum of an angular correlation operator sensitive to CPT-violating effects. We find no violation at the precision level of 10
−4
, with an over threefold improvement on the previous measurement.
Leclercia adecarboxylata, a Gram‐negative bacillus of family Enterobacteriaceae, is an uncommonly identified pathogen isolated from environmental and clinical specimens. Most of the human infections ...are polymicrobial and commonly occur in immunocompromised hosts, although nosocomial infections in immunocompetent hosts have been documented. Here, we describe the case of isolation of Leclercia species as polymicrobial infection from bovine suffering from respiratory distress in Chhattisgarh state of India. The isolates were identified by their phenotypes, 16S rDNA sequencing and MALDI‐TOF‐MS. The isolate was found to be resistant to aminoglycosides and fluoroquinolone antibiotics and intermediate resistant to cephalosporins and evidenced for uncertain clinical relevance and could act as hidden source of public health hazard.

The isolate was found to be multidrug resistant and evidenced for uncertain clinical relevance and could act as hidden source of public health hazard. The limited literature available on this organism is reviewed, and the potential implications of findings are discussed. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of isolation and characterization of multidrug‐resistant Leclercia species from animal clinical case from India.

The adsorption of toxic gases Nitrogen Oxide (NO) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) on armchair graphene nanoribbon substrate and its co-doped system has been investigated. Density Functional Theory (DFT) is used to explain the gas sensing performance of Boron (B) doped and Boron-Phosphorus (BP) co-doped armchair graphene nanoribbon (BCmPn-Gr; m,n = 0,1,2,3 and m + n = 3) for detection of these gases. The change in electronic and structural characteristics of armchair graphene nanoribbon (ArGNRs) before and after sensing of NO and NO2 gases is reported. Different configurations are used in our work such as Pristine, Boron doped and Boron-Phosphorus co-doped ArGNRs. Boron site is observed to be active site to study adsorption phenomenon due to accumulation of positive charge around it. Boron-Phosphorus based formation shows considerable enhancement of adsorption capabilities as compared to pristine structure alone. A significant increase in adsorption of NO and NO2 gases with increase in amount of Phosphorus atoms is observed. This work reveals that Boron Phosphorus co-doped system is considerably better than previously reported similar works. It can be utilized as effective gas sensing material.
Aim
To study the association of opportunistic infection due to Myroides odoratimimus in piglets immunocompromised by porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) infection.
Methods and Results
The clinical ...samples (n = 101) were analysed bacteriologically. The isolates were identified by their phenotypes and MALDI TOF‐MS analysis as Myroides species. The phylogram constructed based on nucleotide sequences of the 16S rRNA gene showed identity (~99%) with the M. odoratimimus isolates. The minimum inhibitory concentration values for antibiotics revealed M. odoratimimus to be resistant against carbapenem, cephalosporins, aminoglycosides and fluoroquinolones. The presence of PCV2 in affected tissue samples was confirmed by amplification of the 565 bp region of ORF2 of the PCV2 genome. The topology of the phylogenetic tree grouped the PCV2 with cluster—2d.
Conclusions
PCV2 being immunosuppressive in nature might have impaired the immunity thereby increasing the susceptibility of immunocompromised piglets to opportunistic pathogens such as M. odoratimimus leading to disease severity and high mortality. The M. odoratimimus isolates were found to be multidrug resistant and evidenced for uncertain clinical relevance and hence could act as hidden source of public health hazard.
Significance and Impact of the Study
Myroides odoratimimus is a rarely reported human pathogen. We reported the incidence of infection due to seemingly rare isolates of M. odoratimimus causing an outbreak of pneumonia in piglets. This appears, to the best of authors' knowledge, to be the first outbreak due to Myroides recorded in animal clinical cases described in the literature.
To make perovskite solar cells competitive and efficient, it is necessary to control the crystallinity along with full coverage of the used substrate. Nowadays, numerous techniques have applied to ...improve and control the crystallinity of fabricated perovskite films, but still, have the most critical issue for perceiving high-performance perovskite solar cells. Herein, a low-cost yet effective procedure has used to fabricate thin-films of methylamine lead halide (CH3NH3PbI3) perovskite semiconductor. Uniform and high-quality CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite thin films were successfully fabricated on a glass substrate using a modified drop-casting method. Morphological characterization has shown an extremely compact, highly crystalline, and dense microstructure pinhole-free thin-film without any impure phase. Compared to the spin coating method, thin-films processed have been exposed to retain an enhanced film quality with higher crystallinity. Furthermore, a voltage-current characteristic has shown that the photoconductivity significantly enhanced the films processed with this versatile method. These results were also validated by absorbance and photoluminescence measurements. Achieved results highlight the significance of this low-cost method for forthcoming high-performance photovoltaic devices based on CH3NH3PbI3 semiconductor thin films.

can be controlled moderately by air annealing as-deposited films and substrate temperature strongly affects the surface morphology. The comparative chemiresistive performance of films was studied for sensing applications of test gases and humidity. The sensitivity and relative sensor response of 5 ppm ethanol at room temperature were better than other test gases. The films annealed in air at 300, 400 and 450 °C for 1 h have excellent responses towards propanol, ethanol, and acetone, respectively. In general, the figure of merit of the synthesized gas sensor is found to vary from 2.8 to 24%, respectively. Annealed films at 350 °C for one hour have ultrahigh response towards humidity. Response-recovery time was found to vary as a function of annealing temperature due to the decrement in sensor impedance. The MOS sensor has shown ultrahigh humidity response and reasonable response at a low ppm of acetone gas at room temperature, which may be suitable as acetone breath analysis for seriously diabetic patients.
The global market has a high demand for premium edible grade groundnut, particularly for table use. India, in particular, exhibits significant potential for exporting confectionary grade large seeded ...groundnut. The environment plays a significant impact in influencing the expression of seed traits, which subsequently affects the confectionary quality of groundnut genotypes. The states of Gujarat and Rajasthan in India are prominent producers of high-quality groundnuts specifically used for confectionary purposes. The current study was conducted with 43 confectionery groundnut genotypes at Junagadh, Gujarat, and Bikaner, Rajasthan, with the goals of understanding genotype-by-environment interaction (GEI) effects and identifying stable, high yielding confectionery quality groundnut genotypes using AMMI and GGE biplot models. Pod yield per plant (PYP), number of pods per plant (NPP), hundred kernel weight (HKW), and shelling percent (SP) were estimated. The interplay between the environment and genotype has had a notable impact on the manifestation of confectionary grade characteristics in peanuts. The results from the Interaction Principal Component Analysis (IPCA) indicate that HKW contributed 76.68% and 18.95% towards the Global Environmental Index (GEI) through IPCA1 and IPCA2, respectively. Similarly, NPP contributed 87.52% and 8.65%, PYP contributed 95.87% and 2.1%, and SP contributed 77.4% and 16.22% towards GEI through IPCA1 and IPCA2, respectively. Based on the ranking of genotypes, the ideal genotypes were PBS 29079B for HKW, PBS 29230 for NPP. The genotypes PBS 29233 and PBS 29230 exhibited superior performance and stability in terms of pod yield, hundred kernel weight, number of pods per plant, and shelling percentage across various sites. These breeding lines have the potential to be developed for the purpose of producing confectionary grade groundnut with larger seeds, in order to fulfil the growing demand for export.
