The use of stylistic terms, periodization of ...19th-century architecture, particularly historicism, and Renate Wagner-Rieger’s method of organizing the text within monographs on the history of architecture of cities or areas according to building types have had a remarkable influence on how similar topics are treated in Croatian art history.
Rad Renate Wagner-Rieger pozitivno se odrazio na oživljavanje interesa za arhitekturu19. stoljeća u Hrvatskoj kao i za njezino uključivanje u hrvatsku nacionalnupovijest umjetnosti. Korištenje stilskih termina, periodizacija arhitekture 19. stoljeća,posebice historicizma, te način na koji je Renate Wagner-Rieger organiziralatekst unutar monografija o povijesti arhitekture gradova ili područja prema tipovimagrađevina, značajno su utjecali na to kako su se slične teme obrađivale u hrvatskojpovijesti umjetnosti.
Članak govori o organizaciji obnove Zagreba nakon potresa 9. 11. 1880. godine. Usredotočuje se na način na koji su tijela tadašnje hrvatske Zemaljske vlade, zagrebačkoga Gradskog poglavarstva i drugi ...organi vlasti, obnavljali tijekom studenoga i prosinca 1880. javne građevine te kontrolirali obnovu privatnih zgrada. Završni se dio teksta usredotočuje na način na koji su osigurana potrebna sredstva za obnovu grada.
This paper focuses on the organization of repair and reconstruction works after a devastating earthquake hit Zagreb in 1880. It specifically looks at how the bodies of the Croatian Provincial Government, the Zagreb City Government and other authorities were managing the rehabilitation and reconstruction of public buildings and controlling the renovation of private houses. It also examines the way in which the necessary funds were provided.
Članak govori o djelovanju arhitektonskog biroa Ludwig & Hülssner na projektiranju javnih građevina u Hrvatskoj. Zahvaljujući nastojanjima Ise Kršnjavoga, predstojnika Odjela za bogoštovlje i nastavu ...hrvatske vlade, po njihovim su projektima iz 1894. godine sagrađene škole u Zagrebu, Sušaku, Novoj Gradiški, Karlovcu, Rumi, Iloku i Gospiću te internat u Gospiću. Izradili su i tipske projekte za seoske škole, zatim za župne i parohijske stanove te za bolnice.
The paper deals with the architectural production of Ludwig & Hülssner architectural practice. They were employed in Croatia thanks to Iso Kršnjavi, head of the Croatian Government’s Department of Religous and Educational Affairs. The schools were built according to their designs from 1894 in Zagreb, Sušak, Nova Gradiška, Karlovac, Ruma, Ilok, and Gospić including a boarding school in Gospić. They also produced standardized projects for rural schools, parish apartments and hospitals.
Članak govori o projektima bečkog arhitekta Friedricha Schmidta za palaču Hrvatske akademije znanosti i umjetnosti u Zagrebu. Zbog problema oko izbora lokacije i nedostatka sredstava Schmidt je ...izradio tri projekta za ovu zgradu - 1875., 1876. i 1877. U procesu njihove izrade ključnu su ulogu imali biskup Josip Juraj Strossmayer, inicijator izgradnje palače, predsjednik Akademije Franjo Rački i prvi hrvatski povjesničar umjetnosti Iso Kršnjavi.
This article focuses on the designs of the Viennese architect Friedrich Schmidt for the palace of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb. Due to some problems with site selection and lack of budget, Schmidt produced three design versions (1875, 1876 and 1877). The key figures in this process were Bishop Josip Juraj Strossmayer, the initiator of palace construction, Franjo Rački, president of the Academy, and Iso Kršnjavi, the first Croatian art historian.
The Military Frontier, an administrative unit within the Habsburg Empire, was established during the sixteenth century to consolidate the border with the Ottoman Empire. In Building the Frontier of ...the Habsburg Empire: Viennese Authorities and the Architecture of Croatian-Slavonian Military Frontier Towns, 1780–1881, Dragan Damjanovićconsiders architecture and urban planning there from the time Emperor Joseph II assumed the throne until the Frontier was abolished in 1881. Beginning with an overview of the region's architecture, urban design, and administrative organization, Damjanović proceeds to an examination of how modernization processes and the gradual demilitarization of the Frontier affected architecture and planning there. As they did for other provinces, Viennese authorities commissioned numerous new public and church buildings for the region—part of a larger effort toward modernization. Showing the influence of a variety of styles then fashionable elsewhere in Central Europe, these buildings were nonetheless well adapted to their local circumstances.

Introduction/purpose: The paper analyzes the impact of malicious codes in the cloud. Malicious code is an unauthorized piece of code that violates the integrity of an application and infrastructure ...to cause certain effects, such as security breaches, spread of infections, and data infiltration from the computer with the help of malicious software - this is a simple form of data theft which can lead to disastrous consequences in all segments of society, especially when it comes to national security. To overcome this challenge, it is necessary to detect holes in the safety of cloud environments and repair them before the attackers use these vulnerabilities to bypass the integrated cloud infrastructure. Methods: Structural analysis, functional analysis, comparative analysis, synthesis. Results: There are many factors for collecting, comparing, and delivering intelligence data on cloud threats. Cloud applications are increasingly being targeted because their use to store and share data with mobile application hosting has been increased exponentially, enabling industrial automation and business information monitoring and procurement. In addition, billions of devices on the Internet use the cloud infrastructure as a background for processing and transmitting large data sets. Malicious code is easily distributed due to the ease of sharing documents and files via the cloud. Conclusion: As cloud technologies are taking a central place in the world of digital transformation, the threat to the cloud environment is expected to grow exponentially. This means that organizations need to ensure that the cyber security position of the cloud infrastructure they possess is robust and mature enough to combat all relevant security threats in order to minimize business risks. Understanding the nature of practical security controls and how they are assessed enables organizations to build a practical approach to security and privacy in the cloud.
U članku je riječ o crtežima i oleografiji Ferdinanda Quiquereza Prijelaz Save kod Broda, nastalim 1878./1879. godine, koji predstavljaju vizualnu metaforu austro-ugarske okupacije (i uprave) Bosne i ...Hercegovine. Kompozicija prikazuje kako građani Bosanskog Broda svih vjeroispovijesti svečano dočekuju u popodnevnim satima 29. srpnja 1878., na dan kada je počela okupacija, zapovjednika austro-ugarskih trupa Josipa Filipovića. Iako se pretpostavljalo kako je Quiquerezova kompozicija konstruirani nevjerodostojan prikaz, proizašao iz slikareve mašte, a ne stvarnog događaja, izvještaj dopisnika zagrebačkoga službenog dnevnika Narodnih novina, odaje nam da to ipak nije tako.
An environmentally friendly analog of the prominent methylammonium lead halide perovskite, methylammonium bismuth bromide (MA3Bi2Br9), was prepared and investigated in the form of powder, single ...crystals and nanowires. Complete characterization via synchrotron X-ray diffraction data showed that the bulk crystal does not incorporate water into the structure. At the same time, water is absorbed on the surface of the crystal, and this modification leads to the changes in the resistivity of the material, thus making MA3Bi2Br9 an excellent candidate for use as a humidity sensor. The novel sensor was prepared from powder-pressed pellets with attached carbon electrodes and was characterized by being able to detect relative humidity over the full range (0.7–96% RH) at ambient temperature. Compared to commercial and literature values, the response and recovery times are very fast (down to 1.5 s/1.5 s).
