Urticaria pigmentosa is the most common form of mastocytosis. Mastocytosis usually presents at birth or early childhood, and may involve only the skin or, less commonly, other internal organs. ...Diagnosis is clinical, but a skin biopsy may be useful. Prognosis is usually good, and treatment focuses on the avoidance of certain triggers and administration of topical and systemic medications. Appropriate counselling of parents regarding the benign nature of this disease is important as most cases resolve by adolescence.
This study aimed to analyse the association between socioeconomic status (SES) and fatness and fitness in preschoolers. 2,638 preschoolers (3-5 years old; 47.2% girls) participated. SES was estimated ...from the parental educational and occupational levels, and the marital status. Fatness was assessed by body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), and waist-to-height ratio (WHtR). Physical fitness components were assessed using the PREFIT battery. Preschoolers whose parents had higher educational levels had lower fatness (P < 0.05). BMI significantly differed across occupational levels of each parent (P < 0.05) and WHtR across paternal levels (P = 0.004). Musculoskeletal fitness was different across any SES factor (P < 0.05), except handgrip across paternal occupational levels (P ≥ 0.05). Preschoolers with high paternal occupation had higher speed/agility (P = 0.005), and those with high or low maternal education had higher VO
max (P = 0.046). Odds of being obese and having low musculoskeletal fitness was lower as SES was higher (P < 0.05). Those with married parents had higher cardiorespiratory fitness than single-parent ones (P = 0.010). School-based interventions should be aware of that children with low SES are at a higher risk of obesity and low fitness already in the first years of life.
Objective: The aim of the present study was to identify anxiety and depression in health personnel who suffered COVID-19, and to associate them with blood inflammatory markers.
Materials and methods: ...The design of this study was descriptive and cross-sectional. We evaluated 51 healthcare workers who survived COVID-19 disease with Hamilton scales for anxiety and depression, also we calculated inflammatory markers (systemic immune-inflammation index, SII; monocyte lymphocyte ratio, MLR; platelet lymphocyte ratio, PLR; and neutrophil lymphocyte ratio, NLR) using blood venous samples. This study was carried out from August 2021 to December 2022. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS v. 26.
Results: Our study included 51 healthcare personnel, females (n=29) and males (n=22). The mean age was 40.54 ± 11.00 years. The most frequent acute symptoms for COVID-19 presented were dysgeusia (n=20), anosmia (n=18), and headache (n=17). The most common comorbidities were overweight (n=24), obesity (n=22), and hypertension (n=11). According to the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HARS) and Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression Rating (HRSD) we identify anxiety and depression in 72.5% (n=37) and 51% (n=26) within the health personnel, respectively.
Conclusions: In our study, we observed a high frequency of anxiety and depression in healthcare workers with post COVID-19 condition. However, we did not observe an association between inflammatory markers (NLR, PLR, MLR, and SII) with anxiety and depression in health personnel post-COVID-19. We suggest follow-up assessments in healthcare personnel with post-COVID-19 condition, to evaluate if mixed emotional disorders persist.

Although there are high quality clinical guidelines about allergic rhinitis, many patients receive deficient treatment, partly due to the high level of self-medication. MASK (Mobile Airways Sentinel ...Network) is an integral part of a project against chronic diseases which it is focused on active and healthy aging and is supported by the European Union. It forms the third phase of ARIA (Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma) in which, through a mobile app on a smart device, the purpose is to guide patients in the control of their multimorbidity, allergic rhinitis or conjunctivitis, or asthma. The "Allergy Diary" app by MACVIA-ARIA is free and it is available for Android and iOS; on it, patients indicate how unpleasant the symptoms are on a daily basis through five screens with an analogous visual scale; two more screens were recently added (sleep affectation). With the app, it is also possible to download the information of the "Allergy Diary" on the physician's computer through a QR code at the moment of the medical consultation. In this article, we review the first year of experience in Spain, Mexico and Argentina, where the Spanish version is used.
En este artículo se presenta el diseño y aplicación de un método de control adaptativo para un sistema bilateral de teleoperación. El esquema y algoritmo de control se ha formulado en el espacio de ...estados siguiendo una técnica de control por convergencia del estado de maestro y esclavo. Sobre dicho esquema de control se han ajustado a través del método de control adaptativo las ganancias de las matrices de los reguladores para obtener un sistema bilateral estable con una reflexión de fuerzas establecida a priori, lo que es de utilidad en aplicaciones industriales en las que el operador manipula cardas de gran variabilidad. La validación del método de control diseñado se ha realizado con un sistema experimental maestro-esclavo de un grado de libertad, pero los resultados también son aplicables con varios grados de libertad.
En este artículo se presenta el diseño e implementación de un controlador híbrido para un sistema de teleoperación robótico. La estructura de control de bajo nivel fue diseñada para controlar tanto ...la posición del manipulador remoto como así también la fuerza de interacción. En la estación local se consideró la dinámica del operador humano y en el sitio remoto se consideró un modelo elástico para el entorno. El controlador supervisor es diseñado utilizando la teoría de sistemas híbridos y en particular se empleó un autómata como herramienta de modelado para el controlador de eventos discretos. Los resultados teóricos se validan a través de una plataforma de simulación de un robot comercial.

Los barrios mágicos constituyen una extensión de la oferta turística creada por la Secretaría de Turismo en el año 2022 en México con la finalidad de promover lugares para atraer más turismo ...impactando de forma positiva a la sociedad. El objetivo de este artículo fue analizar las características de su oferta turística, para que a través de su identidad se compruebe si expresan la esencia de la ciudad, razón por la que fueron creados. Se utilizó una metodología de tipo documental y descriptivo a través del análisis de artículos, blogs, libros y fuentes secundarias. Como resultado se obtuvo que, debido a que el programa está iniciando, se requiere más tiempo para ver el impacto de estos en los espacios designados, además de que se espera que existan 32 lugares con esta denominación, uno por cada entidad federativa, por lo que el gobierno se encuentra analizando las posibles ofertas ya que no todos cumplen con las cualidades requeridas para convertirse en un barrio mágico.
