Electrical lighting favours the development of photosynthetic biofilms in caves which can induce biodeterioration in the colonized substrates. The use of specific lights as a limiting factor for ...biofilm growth could be effective in their control and represents an alternative to chemical methods since they can damage the substrate. However, studies about lighting and the photosynthetic activity of organisms in caves are scarce. In order to select the most effective LED light source in reducing photosynthesis and therefore, in reducing the growth rates of microalgae and cyanobacteria, four biofilms in the Nerja Cave were illuminated by several light emitted diodes (LEDs) with different spectral compositions and the photobiological responses were measured both by empirical and theoretical methodologies. The empirical approach was based on the photosynthetic efficiency, by measuring the in vivo chlorophyll a (Chl a) fluorescence and the theoretical approach was based on the photonic assimilation performance related to the proportion of the light quality used for photosynthesis, according to the action spectra for photosynthesis available in the literature. The photobiological responses showed differences between the empirical and theoretical approach mainly in biofilms dominated by cyanobacteria and red algae, probably because the available action spectra were not useful for monitoring these Nerja Cave biofilms. However, the expected spectral responses of photosynthesis were observed in green microalgal biofilms with maximum photosynthetic efficiency in red and blue light although the green light was also unexpectedly high. The high photosynthetic efficiency in green light could be explained by the predictable high chlorophyll content due to a very dark environment. The results were not conclusive enough for all the biofilm types to be able to recommend a specific lighting system for the photocontrol of biofilm expansion. Therefore, new action spectra for photosynthesis of the extremophile organisms of the Nerja Cave are required. This approach, based on theoretical and empirical methodologies, is a useful tool to obtain information to allow the design of the most adequate lighting systems to reduce photosynthetic activity and favour the conservation of the caves.
•Cave biofilms illuminated by different light emitted diodes (LEDs).•Photobiological responses determined by theoretical and empirical methodology.•Design of a new lighting system according to an adequate heritage conservation•More research is needed to predict the bio-optical response in photosynthetic biofilm.

Food markets are becoming popular as new spaces for recreation, and this research aims to discover the motivations driving the tourists that visit these markets. Factorial analysis, cluster analysis ...and Student's
-test were applied on 456 surveys from two food markets in Córdoba (Spain). Three motivational factors were obtained: Gastronomic experience and novelty; hedonism and leisure; and the relationship of the experience with work. Segmenting and analyzing the profile of the tourist may help economic agents develop new strategies for the tourism management of a destination and more accurate marketing and branding strategies that target specific customers with a niche message. The study could help develop products that align with tourists' motives to increase satisfaction and loyalty.
While the current global context of successive economic and health crises are punishing the economies of different countries in the world, it is particularly relevant to explore the business ...intentions of young university students, as potential entrepreneurs of opportunity. This matter is of the utmost importance, as it helps to facilitate the implementation of measures that can ensure the future recovery of the economy and the creation of new businesses. The objective of this paper is to study the institutional and psychological antecedents of entrepreneurial intention and the role of gender. The theory of planned behaviour is applied to assess how personal attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural control can affect students' intention of becoming an entrepreneur. In addition, organizational support and institutional barriers are tested as potentially significant antecedents of entrepreneurial intention, along with the influence of gender. The research carried out was based on survey responses from a sample of 740 students of economics, communications, and education at an Ecuadorian university. The research propositions were tested using a partial least squares approach. Results indicate that behaviour towards entrepreneurship does not change in relation to gender. In addition, personal attitudes and perceived behavioural control regarding entrepreneurship are positively related to students' entrepreneurial intention. Organizational support is also found to be important for generating entrepreneurial intention. The paper adds to the current knowledge base on entrepreneurial intention by analysing the individual and joint influence of the principal elements of the theory of planned behaviour, as well as organizational support and institutional barriers on entrepreneurial intentions. Moreover, the research provides a useful perspective on the antecedents of entrepreneurial intention in an unexplored context such as Ecuador, by responding to the call focusing on entrepreneurial intention in different regions, cultures, and contexts.

In recent years, live video streaming platforms for video games have been gaining popularity. These types of services, which enable anyone to broadcast and consume live content, are revolutionising ...the current video game landscape. Users approach the emergence of and participation in these platforms driven by a range of motivations. It is essential to characterise the different forms of participation in services such as Twitch to evaluate the phenomenon and reflect on its advantages and disadvantages. To that end, a survey was carried out of 580 young people and adolescents aged between 14 and 24. The aim of this study is thus to explore the uptake of these platforms, as well as identify user groups, distinguish between different motivations, and address the associated benefits and harms. Applying a methodology based on factor analysis and cluster analysis, user profiles were characterised according to their specific features, gaming/viewing hours, self-perception of their skill level as a player, devices used, and type or genre of video game. Four subgroups of gamers/viewers were thus identified: casual, social, hobby, and problematic. The results showed that older users and female users feature more prominently in the first two groups, as do those spending less time on video games and live streaming platforms. Conversely, in the hobby and problematic groups, we observe just the opposite. The existence of profiles at possible risk of addiction underlines how, at a preventive level, there is a need for more in-depth research on these types of services and greater public awareness of the dangers of uncontrolled use.
This research intends to increase the knowledge about the use of board games in the classroom to train executive functions and academic skills. 99 children from rural schools were assessed in ...executive functions and academic skills.
Through a randomized controlled trial, they were assigned to a playing group (n = 51) and an active control group (regular classes without games, n = 48). Play program consisted of 12 sessions for 6 weeks with eight commercial board games.
In flexibility, the playing group was significantly faster after the program (p= = .01, d = 0.76), but not the control group (p = .23; d = 0.35). Both groups improved in the academic tasks, but the significance in calculus was greater in the playing group (p = .00; d = 2.19) than in the control group (p = .01; d = 0.97).
The use of board games during school hours could be as good or better methodology for cognitive training and learning academic skills than regular classes.
