Članak se bavi dijelom opusa turskog fotografa Ahmeta Ertuğa, odnosno izložbom njegovih fotografija velikih formata u Umjetničkoj galeriji Dubrovnik 2018. godine. Umjetnik Ahmet Ertuğ, školovan kao ...arhitekt, postao je planetarno poznat po svojim fotografijama interijera znamenitih građevina, poput kazališta i palača. Njegovu estetiku odlikuje dosljedno inzistiranje na simetriji i sveukupnoj pravilnosti kompozicije, kao i posvemašnji izostanak ljudskih figura te posljedično dokidanje temporalnosti i naglašavanje nepromjenjivih odrednica ljepote. Osobitost ovog ciklusa je uključivanje motiva iz Dubrovnika u autorovu mediteransku priču o renesansnoj i baroknoj arhitekturi pri čemu, primjerice, knjižnica samostana Male braće ili palača Sponza staju uz bok motivima iz Milana, Firence ili Venecije.
Knežev dvor u Dubrovniku, najznačajniji kulturno-povijesni arhitektonski objekt urbane povijesne jezgre, teško je oštećen u potresu 1979. godine. Među više od tisuću građevina koje su stradale u tom ...razornom potresu čak tri četvrtine bili su spomenici kulture nulte kategorije. Obnova koja je nakon toga uslijedila pokazala se
velikim izazovom konzervatorskoj i restauratorskoj struci iziskujući
novčana sredstva, organizacijsku strategiju, zakonsku osnovu i društvenu participaciju kakva do tada nije bila viđena. Radi istraživanja i saniranja štete od potresa 1979. godine osnovan je
Zavod za obnovu Dubrovnika koji je rukovodio i obnovom Kneževa
dvora od 1982. do završetka radova 1984. godine. Osobita oštećenja pretrpjeli su konstruktivni dijelovi objekta, čime je ugrožena njegova stabilnost. Istražni radovi i sanacija obuhvatili su sva krila i etaže Dvora. Iako je obnovom ostvaren osnovni cilj – veća otpornost građevine na potrese, stav je stručnjaka da su istražni radovi bili nedostatni, a građevinski zahvati suviše invazivni.
U ovome se radu prvi put objašnjava važnost elaborata obnove koji je nastao prije potresa, donose se nove interpretacije konzervatorskih postupaka i analiziraju se posljedice koje prilagođavanje spomenika muzejskoj namjeni ima na integritet samog spomenika.
Heart failure (HF) with mid-range or mildly reduced ejection fraction (HFmrEF) is a separate clinical entity in the HF spectrum, with a left ventricular ejection fraction ranging from 40 to 49%. ...While sodium glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors have become the cornerstone therapy for the entire HF spectrum, there are a few clinical trials of HFmrEF. This prospective observational study was conducted at Dubrava University Hospital, Zagreb, Croatia, from May 2021 to October 2023. We recruited 137 participants diagnosed with HFmrEF at admission. The majority were male, with a median age of 72 and overweight. A total of 110 participants were followed for 6 months and LVEF remained the same in the majority of patients (n = 62, 56.4%), improved in 32 patients (29.1%), and decreased in 3 patients (2.73%). A total of 64 participants were followed for 12 months: 39 remained the same (60.94%) and 25 improved. There were 13 deaths in (9.5%). While the empagliflozin group had a lower BMI at 6-month- and lower HbA1c at 12-month follow-up, there were no differences in death, HF hospitalizations, ER visits, or urinary tract infections in between groups. Despite recent and daily advances in the treatment of all HF phenotypes, HFmrEF still represents a challenge in everyday clinical practice.

sensu Miller or Moench. This study aimed to gain a better insight into the species diversity of
L. from the Balkans by analyzing the taxa that have traditionally been placed in separate genera. The alkane profile and the micromorphological characteristics of the leaves are analyzed. The leaves are visualized using scanning electron microscopy, and alkanes are isolated using
-hexane as a solvent and analyzed using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The alkane profile showed the differentiation of the
-group from the other taxa based on the dominant
-C31, while most of the other taxa contained
-C33 as the dominant alkane. The micromorphological features also showed clear differences between the previously recognized genera, especially in the capitate trichomes. The results showed that micromorphological patterns are highly variable in certain groups of the genus

X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH) is the most common cause of inherited hypophosphatemic rickets. Dental involvement, including spontaneous abscesses and/or fistulae, is an important part of the ...disease and has not been completely defined, especially in cohorts from developing countries. To describe oral health status in a cohort of Chilean patients with XLH and explore its correlation with biochemical presentation and treatment, we conducted a cross-sectional observational study of patients with
PHEX
mutation-confirmed XLH. All patients had an oral clinical exam, radiographic evaluation; clinical and biochemical data were obtained to determine their association with oral features. Twenty-six patients were included, 77% adults and 23% children. Most adults (89%) had past or current dental pulp pathology (abscesses and/or fistulae). Pulpal chamber enlargement and radiolucent apical lesions were common radiological features (94 and 74%, respectively). In children, abscess and/or fistulae were also common (33%). Caries index, which was determined by dmft/DMFT, was higher than the Chilean national average. Early and long-term therapy with phosphate and activated vitamin D was associated with lower carious index and attachment loss. XLH patients frequently present with high pulpal involvement and carious index. Conventional therapy was associated with lower carious index and attachment loss. These data highlight the importance of early and periodical dental care in order to prevent dental damage and assure a good quality of oral health for XLH patients.
