The aim of this research is to study the experience of People With HIV AIDS (PLWHA) Injection Drugs Users (IDUs) while undergoing anti-retroviral (ARV) and Methadone therapy. This qualitative ...research method uses a phenomenological approach. The interview transcript was analyzed by the Colaizi analysis stage. The analysis showed that ODHA of IDU felt physically normal and had a positive psychosocial life. Participants experience feelings of saturation with routine and obligation and are often seized with feelings of fear. PLWHA IDUs also experience side effects of concomitant ARV and Methadone therapy. Conclusion, Although PLWHA IDUs felt the benefits of therapy, they still experience various physical and psychosocial problems due to treatment procedures and ARV and Methadone treatment response.

Aspiration pneumonia in patients with stroke can occur as a result of the gram-positive and gram-negative in the oral cavity that spreads to the respiratory tract of patients due to decreased ability ...to fight bacteria mouth. Selection of materials for oral care need to consider in terms of the material effectiveness, safety, convenience and cost efficiency. This quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design with pre and post test control group design. This research aims to study the effectiveness of oral care using honey to the risk of aspiration pneumonia in stroke patients who suffered loss of consciousness and dysphagia. In this design 46 respondents 23 respondents were divided into intervention group with oral treatments using honey and 23 respondents into a control group who received oral treatment with 0.2% chlorhexidine. Performed oral care performed by a nurse twice a day in the morning and evening for 30 minutes within 3 days sequentially. Results: There are significant relationships in oral care using honey to the risk of aspiration pneumonia in stroke patients who suffered loss of consciousness and dysphagia (p.0,000: α.0,05). The risk of aspiration pneumonia was lower by 2,522 with oral treatments using honey instead of using Clorhexidine 0.2%. Conclusion: Oral care using honey to effectively prevent the increased risk of aspiration pneumonia in pasein stroke decreased consciousness and dysphagia. Suggestion: Oral care with honey can be used as material for oral care, especially in the choice of antiseptic agent as proven in this study honey can maintain and even reduce the risk of aspiration pneumonia in stroke patients with loss of consciousness and dysphagia. This research can be a reference for subsequent research.

Pneumonia aspirasi pada pasien stroke dapat terjadi akibat dari bakteri gram positif maupun gram negatif di rongga mulut yang menyebar ke saluran nafas pasien akibat penurunan kemampuan mulut untuk ...melawan bakteri. Pemilihan bahan perawatan mulut perlu mempertimbangkan segi efektifitas bahan, keamanan, kenyamanan serta efesiensi biaya. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pre dan Post test control group design. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari efektifitas perawatan mulut menggunakan madu dengan risiko pneumonia aspirasi pada pasien stroke yang mengalami penurunan kesadaran dan disfagia. Pada desain ini 46 responden dibagi menjadi 23 responden kelompok intervensi dengan perawatan mulut menggunakan madu dan 23 responden menjadi kelompok control yang mendapatkan perawatan mulut dengan chlorhexidine 0,2%. Perawatan mulut dilakukan dilakukan oleh perawat sebanyak dua kali sehari pada pagi dan sore hari selama 30 menit dalam waktu 3 hari berurutan. Hasil: terdapat hubungan signifikan perawatan mulut menggunakan madu dengan risiko pneumonia aspirasi pada pasien stroke yang mengalami penurunan kesadaran dan disfagia (p.0,000:α.0,05). Risiko pneumonia aspirasi lebih rendah sebesar 2,522 dengan perawatan mulut menggunakan madu dibandingkan menggunakan Clorhexidine 0,2%. Simpulan: Perawatan mulut menggunakan madu efektif mencegah peningkatan risiko pneumonia aspirasi pada pasein stroke yang mengalami penurunan kesadaran dan disfagia. Saran: Perawatan mulut dengan madu dapat dijadikan bahan untuk perawatan mulut terutama dalam pemilihan agen antiseptik karena terbukti pada penelitian ini madu dapat mempertahankan bahkan menurunkan risiko pneumonia aspirasi pada pasien stroke dengan penurunan kesadaran dan disfagia. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi rujukan untuk penelitian berikutnya.

Background: Stroke is a neurological change that occurs quickly caused by disruption of blood supply to parts of the brain. Stroke has a complex impact which includes bio-psycho-social and spiritual. ...Various complexities of problems encountered in stroke patients so that self-management is needed as a form of adaptation to new conditions after stroke. Self-management interventions are useful for improving self-management skills and behavior in stroke patients. Purpose this study is to analize effectiveness of self-management interventions in stroke patients. Methods : Narrative literature review, research analyzes published in the online databases of ProQuest, Google scholar and Scopus. The study was selected using the criteria and keywords for the 2015-2019 period. Seven studies were analyzed using the literature review process. Results: To improve self-management stroke patients self-management interventions are needed. Self-management interventions can be applied in hospitals when post acute patients are hospitalized, preparation for discharge, return and after discharge home and can be combined with rehabilitation programs in the community. Self-management interventions can improve self-efficacy, self-management behavior, activity daily living (ADL) ability, decreased re-hospitalisation and patient readiness to return to the community. Conclusion: Self-management interventions can be applied in Indonesia, with a note that among others prepared human resources, costs, supporting facilities and policies from the manager.
Introduction: Post-stroke pneumonia is the most a common complication during the first few weeks after a stroke. Thus, a score is needed for the early identification of stroke patients with an ...increased risk of pneumonia to assist the nursing team in preventing the onset of pneumonia in stroke patients during hospitalization. This study aimed to assess the application of the A2DS2 score to predict pneumonia in acute ischemic stroke patients.
Method: This is a diagnostic study that used a cross-sectional method conducted among adult acute ischemic stroke patients. Data analysis was performed to assess the calibration and discrimination performance of the A2DS2 score.
Results: A total of 16 respondents were followed up. The incidence of post-stroke pneumonia was observed in 6 patients (37.5%).
Conclusion: This scoring proved clinically accurate to predict the incidence of pneumonia in acute ischemic stroke patients.

Seksualitas merupakan bagian integral dari kehidupan seseorang dan oleh sebagian besar klien dianggap tabu (taboo) untuk didiskusikan terutama di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran makna dari pengalaman perubahan fungsi seksual pada klien dengan cedera medulla spinalis. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi pada enam partisipan. Pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam dan catatan lapangan. Analisa data menggunakan metode Collaizi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan enam buah tema yaitu 1) kesedihan akibat kelemahan/perubahan fisik, 2) perubahan fungsi seksual, 3) respon psikologis terhadap perubahan fungsi seksual, 4) cara mengekspresikan fungsi seksual, 5) harapan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan seksual dan 6) harapan terhadap pelayanan keperawatan di rumah sakit dalam mengatasi masalah kebutuhan seksual. Hasil penelitian diatas dapat dijadikan dasar penelitian lebih lanjut.
