Coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) are widely used to check dimensions of manufactured parts, especially in the automotive industry. The major obstacles in automation of these measurements are ...fixturing and clamping assemblies, which are required in order to position the measured object within the CMM. This paper describes how an industrial robot can be used to manipulate the measured object within the CMM work space, in order to enable automation of complex geometry measurement.
One of the biggest issues in measuring injection moulded parts by touch-probe coordinate measuring machine is the deformation of parts being measured. Even though the contact force rarely exceeds ...200 mN, it can deform the part, or influence the fixture, thus introducing measurement error. In order to provide the most appropriate measurement method for the inspection of injection moulded part geometry, this paper combines two research topics: one is the comparison of measurement objects similar in shape—expensive brand name products with cheap no-name products, and another is the deformation analysis of the contact between the CMM touch-probe and flexible polymer parts which tend to deform when this type of measurement is used.

RabbitMQ acts as an intermediary between the various services. It reduces the load and delivery time on server web applications by delegating tasks that would typically take a lot of time and resources. Message queuing allows web servers to respond quickly to requests rather than being forced to perform complex procedures that can take more time and resources. AMQP (Advanced Message Queuing Protocol) is a message protocol that deals with publishers and consumers like any other messaging system. Publishers produce messages while consumers download and process them. The job of message brokers, such as RabbitMQ, is to ensure that messages from publishers go to the right consumers. To do this, the broker uses two key components: exchange and order. We demonstrated that the style of microservice architecture is an approach to the development of an application as a set of small services, each in charge of its own process and communication with other services.

Calibration of measuring instruments is common requirement for quality control, and calibrated instrument has to be traceable. Metrological traceability is the property of the measurement result ...relating it to a stated reference standard through an unbroken chain of comparisons with stated uncertainties. The data integrity of the traceability chain is vulnerable, as digital calibration certificates can potentially be altered. This paper evaluates how blockchain technology could be used to prevent data alteration and improve data integrity in calibration certificates. This is of great importance in digital quality infrastructure for innovative products and services in Industry 4.0. Cold forming is characterized by a number of advantages which are mainly result of material strengthening during the final workpiece formation. Effects of material strengthening are reflected in ...shaping accuracy and in improving mechanical characteristics of workpieces. Flow forming is one of the specific forming methods used to form different parts of rotationally symmetrical parts in military, aeronautical, nuclear and other industries, which uses positive effects of the material strengthening. Design of products for extremely demanding industries, in addition to dimensional control, requires checking the accuracy of their circular shape. This paper, through the example of making tubular workpieces from Al 99.5% using flow forming technology, presents a method for determining the workpiece roundness using a 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine and analyzes the influence of number of revolutions, shift and the deformation rate to the deviation of roundness.

Joomla is a very popular Content Management System (CMS) used for web page maintenance. This highly versatile software has found itself in both large corporate web portals, and simple web pages such as blogs. Such popularity increases its vulnerability to potential attacks and therefore needs an appropriate security management. ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission) created the series of standards aimed at providing a model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS). This paper shows how principles set in ISO/IEC 27000 series of standards can be used to improve security of Joomla based web portals.
Distributed and collaborative computer-aided design (CAD) environments include building information modeling (BIM) and geographical information systems (GISs) in civil engineering and architecture, ...or product data management/product life cycle management (PDM/PLM) in mechanical engineering. It is essential to keep the data integrity in these computer applications as it contributes to buildingusers’ confidence in CAD/BIM/PDM data. Blockchain technology, the core foundation of cryptocurrencies, is increasingly being used for other purposes and could solve the data integrity issue in collaborative CAD environments. However, it has some disadvantages such as the transparency of data and the slowness of storing data in the blockchain due to distributed consensus. Increasing demand by the Industry 4.0, IoT, Smart Cities, and other initiatives could foster the best what blockchain has to offer: data integrity, reliability, and traceability. This chapter explains how blockchain works, how can it be utilized in distributed CAD environments, what are the major challenges for implementation, and how CAD vendors could use it to increase CAD data integrity.
Javna uprava se svrstava u specifičan organizacijski oblik koji prati razvoj svih civilizacija. Danas se više nego ikad bavimo stvaranjem novog modela funkcioniranja javne uprave. Šta učiti kako bi ...ista bila funkcionalnija i efektivnija, te dostupna građanima? Jedan od načina je svakako uvođenje sustava kvalitete prema zahtjevima nekih od normi kao što su zahtjevi norme ISO 9001. Svakako da se onda postavljaju pitanja o mogućnosti uspostave ovakvih sustava u jedinicama lokalne samouprave, prihvatanja od strane zaposlenika, razumijevanja pojma usluge u ovom sektoru i brojna druga pitanja. U radu je prikazano istraživanje na primjeru pet općina u Federaciji Bosne i Hercegovine, od kojih četiri imaju uveden sustav kvalitete. U istraživanju su sudjelovali zaposlenici koji su u neposrednom kontaktu s njihovim kupcima te su razmatrana njihova mišljenja i stavovi u vezi izgrađenog sustava kvalitete u njihovim sredinama, kao i pitanja koja se tiču njihovog poznavanja i razine izgrađenog i uvedenog sustava kvalitete kroz njegove pojedine elemente. Rad je svakako tek početak na putu potpunog razumijevanja sustava kvalitete u jedinicama lokalne samouprave.
