China is one of the countries with the highest incidence of gastric cancer. There are differences in epidemiological characteristics, clinicopathological features, tumor biological characteristics, ...treatment patterns, and drug selection between gastric cancer patients from the Eastern and Western countries. Non‐Chinese guidelines cannot specifically reflect the diagnosis and treatment characteristics for the Chinese gastric cancer patients. The Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) arranged for a panel of senior experts specializing in all sub‐specialties of gastric cancer to compile, discuss, and revise the guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer based on the findings of evidence‐based medicine in China and abroad. By referring to the opinions of industry experts, taking into account of regional differences, giving full consideration to the accessibility of diagnosis and treatment resources, these experts have conducted experts’ consensus judgement on relevant evidence and made various grades of recommendations for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer to reflect the value of cancer treatment and meeting health economic indexes. This guideline uses tables and is complemented by explanatory and descriptive notes covering the diagnosis, comprehensive treatment, and follow‐up visits for gastric cancer.
The exploring of catalysts with high‐efficiency and low‐cost for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is one of the key issues for many renewable energy systems ...including fuel cells, metal–air batteries, and water splitting. Despite several decades pursuing, bifunctional oxygen catalysts with high catalytic performance at low‐cost, especially the one that could be easily scaled up for mass production are still missing and highly desired. Herein, a hybrid catalyst with NiCo alloy nanoparticles decorated on N‐doped carbon nanofibers is synthesized by a facile electrospinning method and postcalcination treatment. The hybrid catalyst NiCo@N‐C 2 exhibits outstanding ORR and OER catalytic performances, which is even surprisingly superior to the commercial Pt/C and RuO2 catalysts, respectively. The synergetic effects between alloy nanoparticles and the N‐doped carbon fiber are considered as the main contributions for the excellent catalytic activities, which include decreasing the intrinsic and charge transfer resistances, increasing CC, graphitic‐N/pyridinic‐N contents in the hybrid catalyst. This work opens up a new way to fabricate high‐efficient, low‐cost oxygen catalysts with high production.
NiCo alloy nanoparticles decorated on N‐doped carbon nanofibers as a highly active and durable oxygen electrocatalyst at low‐cost are synthesized and reported. The hybrid catalyst with suitable amount of NiCo alloy nanoparticles loading (NiCo@N‐C 2) gives the most outstanding oxygen reduction reaction and oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalytic performances, which is even surprisingly superior to the commercial Pt/C and RuO2 catalysts, respectively.
Simultaneously harvesting, converting and storing solar energy in a single device represents an ideal technological approach for the next generation of power sources. Herein, we propose a device ...consisting of an integrated carbon-based perovskite solar cell module capable of harvesting solar energy (and converting it into electricity) and a rechargeable aqueous zinc metal cell. The electrochemical energy storage cell utilizes heterostructural Co
P-CoP-NiCoO
nanometric arrays and zinc metal as the cathode and anode, respectively, and shows a capacity retention of approximately 78% after 25000 cycles at 32 A/g. In particular, the battery cathode and perovskite material of the solar cell are combined in a sandwich joint electrode unit. As a result, the device delivers a specific power of 54 kW/kg and specific energy of 366 Wh/kg at 32 A/g and 2 A/g, respectively. Moreover, benefiting from its narrow voltage range (1.40-1.90 V), the device demonstrates an efficiency of approximately 6%, which is stable for 200 photocharge and discharge cycles.
We consider a (2+1)-dimensional generalized breaking soliton (gBS) equation, which describes the interaction of the Riemann wave propagated along the y-axis with a long wave propagated along the ...x-axis. By using Bell’s polynomials, we derive a bilinear form of the gBS equation. Based on the resulting Hirota’s bilinear equation, we explicitly construct its soliton solutions. Furthermore, by using the extended homoclinic test theory, its homoclinic breather waves and rogue waves are well derived, respectively. It is hoped that our results can enrich the dynamical behavior of the gBS-type equations.
Clostridium difficile is a spore-forming, gram-positive, anaerobic bacillus that can cause C. difficile infection (CDI). However, only a few studies on the prevalence and antibiotic resistance of C. ...difficile in healthy individuals in China have been reported. We employed a spore enrichment culture to screen for C. difficile in the stool samples of 3699 healthy Chinese individuals who were divided into 4 groups: infants younger than 2 years of age and living at home with their parents; children aged 1 to 8 years of age and attending three different kindergarten schools; community-dwelling healthy adult aged 23-60 years old; and healthcare workers aged 28-80 years old. The C. difficile isolates were analyzed for the presence of toxin genes and typed by PCR ribotyping and multilocus sequence typing (MLST). The minimum inhibitory concentration of 8 antimicrobial agents was determined for all of the isolates using the agar dilution method. The intestinal carriage rate in the healthy children was 13.6% and ranged from 0% to 21% depending on age. The carriage rates in the 1654 community-dwelling healthy adults and 348 healthcare workers were 5.5% and 6.3%, respectively. Among the isolates, 226 were toxigenic (225 tcdA+/tcdB+ and 1 tcdA+/tcdB+ ctdA+/ctdB+). Twenty-four ribotypes were found, with the dominant type accounting for 29.7% of the isolates. The toxigenic isolates were typed into 27 MLST genotypes. All of the strains were susceptible to vancomycin, metronidazole, fidaxomicin, and rifaximin. High resistance to levofloxacin and ciprofloxacin at rates of 39.8% and 98.3%, respectively, were observed. ST37 isolates were more resistant to levofloxacin than the other STs. The PCR ribotypes and sequence types from the healthy populations were similar to those from the adult patients.
Radiocesium remediation is desirable for ecological protection, human health and sustainable development of nuclear energy. Effective capture of Cs
from acidic solutions is still challenging, mainly ...due to the low stability of the adsorbing materials and the competitive adsorption of protons. Herein, the rapid and highly selective capture of Cs
from strongly acidic solutions is achieved by a robust K
-directed layered metal sulfide KInSnS
(InSnS-1) that exhibits excellent acid and radiation resistance. InSnS-1 possesses high adsorption capacity for Cs
and can serve as the stationary phase in ion exchange columns to effectively remove Cs
from neutral and acidic solutions. The adsorption of Cs
and H
O
is monitored by single-crystal structure analysis, and thus the underlying mechanism of selective Cs
capture from acidic solutions is elucidated at the molecular level.
Gastric cancer (GC) is a common malignancy and frequent cause of cancer-related death. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as important regulators and tissue-specific biomarkers of multiple ...cancers, including GC. Recent evidence has indicated that the novel lncRNA LINC01133 plays an important role in cancer progression and metastasis. However, its function and molecular mechanism in GC remain largely unknown.
LINC01133 expression was detected in 200 GC and matched non-cancerous tissues by quantitative reverse transcription PCR. Gain- and loss-of-function experiments were conducted to investigate the biological functions of LINC01133 both in vitro and in vivo. Insights into the underlying mechanisms of competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) were determined by bioinformatics analysis, dual-luciferase reporter assays, quantitative PCR arrays, TOPFlash/FOPFlash reporter assay, luciferase assay, and rescue experiments.
LINC01133 was downregulated in GC tissues and cell lines, and its low expression positively correlated with GC progression and metastasis. Functionally, LINC01133 depletion promoted cell proliferation, migration, and the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in GC cells, whereas LINC01133 overexpression resulted in the opposite effects both in vitro and in vivo. Bioinformatics analysis and luciferase assays revealed that miR-106a-3p was a direct target of LINC01133, which functioned as a ceRNA in regulating GC metastasis. Mechanistic analysis demonstrated that miR-106a-3p specifically targeted the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) gene, and LINC01133/miR-106a-3p suppressed the EMT and metastasis by inactivating the Wnt/β-catenin pathway in an APC-dependent manner.
Our findings suggest that reduced expression of LINC01133 is associated with aggressive tumor phenotypes and poor patient outcomes in GC. LINC01133 inhibits GC progression and metastasis by acting as a ceRNA for miR-106a-3p to regulate APC expression and the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, suggesting that LINC01133 may serve as a potential prognostic biomarker and anti-metastatic therapeutic target for GC.
The dramatic increase in obesity is putting people under increasing pressure. Lipase inhibitors, as a kind of effective anti-obesity drug, have attracted more and more researchers' attention in ...recent years because of their advantages of acting on the intestinal tract and having no side effects on the central nervous system. In this study, lipase inhibitor Fu Brick Theophylline (FBT) was screened based on enzyme molecular dynamics, and the inhibition mechanism of lipase inhibitors on obesity was analyzed and discussed at the cellular level and animal model level. We found that FBT had high inhibition effects of lipase with an
of 1.02~0.03 μg/mL. Firstly, the laboratory used 3T3-L1 proadipocytes as models, flow cytometry was used to detect the effects of FBT on the cycle, apoptosis and intracellular ROS activity of proadipocytes. To study the contents of triglyceride, total cholesterol, related metabolites and related gene and protein expression in adipocytes. The results showed that FBT could reduce ROS production and inflammatory factor mRNA expression during cell differentiation. Secondly, by establishing the animal model of high-fat feed ob nutritional obese mice, the morphological observation and gene expression analysis of body weight, fat rate, adipocyte and hepatocyte metabolism of FBT obese mice were further discussed. It was proven that FBT can effectively reduce the degree of fatty liver, prevent liver fibrosis and fat accumulation, and improve the damage of mitochondrial membrane structure. This study provides a theoretical basis for the screening and clinical treatment of lipase inhibitors.
•The psychological symptoms of ordinary Chinese citizens were investigated after covid-19 level I emergency response in China based on SCL-90.•The ten dimensions of psychological symptoms of ordinary ...Chinese citizens were assessed.•Special groups with severe psychological symptoms in different groups of ordinary Chinese citizens were analyzed.•The characteristics of high-risk groups that are more prone to psychological symptoms among ordinary Chinese citizens were discussed.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared that the Corona Virus (COVID-19) has become a global pandemic. This study aimed to investigate the psychological symptoms of ordinary Chinese citizens during the Level I Emergency Response throughout China. From January 31 to February 2 2020, an online questionnaire, Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) was designed, and differences in GSI T-scores among subgroups were examined by ANOVA. Based on a cut-off point of the GSI T-scores of 63, the overall sample was divided into high and low-risk groups. of the 1,060 participants investigated in China, more than 70% of them have moderate and higher level of psychological symptoms specifically elevated scores for obsessive compulsion, interpersonal sensitivity, phobic anxiety, and psychoticism. There were no significant differences between males and females. Those who were of over 50 years old, had an undergraduate education and below, were divorced or widowed, and agricultural workers had significantly more symptoms. However, significantly more minors and medical staff were in the high-risk group. These results show that COVID-19 has a significant adverse socio-psychological influence on ordinary citizens. Therefore, governments should equip psychological health departments and pay attention to the people who are in high-risk groups, providing psychological interventions and assistance.
Enantiopure vicinal amino alcohols and derivatives are essential structural motifs in natural products and pharmaceutically active molecules, and serve as main chiral sources in asymmetric synthesis. ...Currently known asymmetric catalytic protocols for this class of compounds are still rare and often suffer from limited scope of substrates, relatively low regio- or stereoselectivities, thus prompting the development of more effective methodologies. Herein we report a dual catalytic strategy for the convergent enantioselective synthesis of vicinal amino alcohols. The method features a radical-type Zimmerman-Traxler transition state formed from a rare earth metal with a nitrone and an aromatic ketyl radical in the presence of chiral N,N'-dioxide ligands. In addition to high level of enantio- and diastereoselectivities, our synthetic protocol affords advantages of simple operation, mild conditions, high-yielding, and a broad scope of substrates. Furthermore, this protocol has been successfully applied to the concise synthesis of pharmaceutically valuable compounds (e.g., ephedrine and selegiline).
