In this work, conditions were selected for obtaining a sample of eukaryotic chaperonin TRiC suitable for studying by cryo-electron microscopy. Using the method of differential scanning ...(time-resolved) fluorimetry, the temperature stability of protein samples at different concentrations of salt and glycerol was compared, and then the selected conditions were used to prepare the sample for microscopy. As a result, the structure of bovine TRiC in an open conformation was obtained at 4.42 Å resolution.
The authors review the results of complex theoretical studies of the physico-mechanical and rheological properties of high-strength steel-fiber concrete in comparison with non-reinforced fine-grained ...high-strength concrete made of self-compacting mixtures under short-term and long-term load exposure. Based on the data of extensive experimental studies, methods of Mathematical description of concrete properties depending on the key factors of influence have been selected and developed. A steel fiber concrete with a minimum content of the selected type of fiber is studied, at which the positive effect of fiber reinforcement begins to manifest itself. The theoretical approach of V.M. Bondarenko to the description of creep measures of steel fiber concrete has been developed. The developed methods can be used to calculate structures made of high-strength steel-fiber concrete using the modern diagram method.
The purpose of the article is to consider of the possibilities of using the Internet in the development of value orientations of Russian students in the course of heuristic cognitive activity. When ...polling a representative sample of students with a creative level of development of the research potential, we found that in heuristic cognitive activity when using the Internet, students are primarily attracted by unusual facts (45%), the ability to speculate about the meaning of certain concepts, statements and effects (34 %). A survey of a general sample of high school students (N = 2095) during a formative experiment with the participation of students in grades 8-11 revealed a wide range of problems of realization of value orientations and meanings of students in cognitive activity of students. These are the opportunities to study various theories on the Internet, problems in the implementation of value orientations and the meanings of the cognitive activity of students: from the possibility of studying various theories on the Internet and using them to explain incomprehensible phenomena, processes. Only 18% of students are always satisfied with the possibilities of the Internet in the heuristic cognitive activity of students, 43% of respondents are often satisfied, sometimes 34% of high school students; 5% of respondents are completely dissatisfied.
The article is devoted to the creation of an experimental SRP-STRAW installation manufacturing unique STRAW detectors for the joint JINR-KEK experiment COMET. The method of welding straw tubes ...applying ultrasound greatly simplifies the technology of their production compared to the case of twisted tubes made by spiral winding and gluing two layers of mylar. The amount of matter decreases, which is important to minimize multiple scattering. The reduction of multiple scattering is also facilitated by a decrease in the level of gas leakage from the tubes. The measured parameters of the tubes showed the high quality of their production and reliability.
NEXT is an experiment dedicated to neutrinoless double beta decay searches in xenon. The detector is a TPC, holding 100 kg of high-pressure xenon enriched in the 136Xe isotope. It is under ...construction in the Laboratorio Subterráneo de Canfranc in Spain, and it will begin operations in 2015. The NEXT detector concept provides an energy resolutionbetter than 1% FWHM and a topological signal that can be used to reduce the background. Furthermore, the NEXT technology can be extrapolated to a 1 ton-scale experiment.
The authors consider the process of teaching learners reading digital texts as pedagogical support for their search activity. Taking into account psychophysiological regularities and psychological ...mechanisms a teacher gets an opportunity to simulate the environment and conditions for learners to form implications, formulate questions and implement research and search for new questions based on the obtained results with the help of hypertextuality, multimedia and interactivity of digital texts in a real educational process. The purpose of the study is to identify a strategy for reading digital text. The simulation experiment for senior learners includes two opposite ways of teaching reading digital text. He/she had to start first with the short text reading, then with the corresponding picture and vice versa. The personal significance of the read text or picture, understanding of the text content and the accuracy of its reproduction were taken into account. Experimental evidence suggests the importance of using strategies for teaching reading a digital text as strategies allow the learner to act as a subject of attitude to the subject of knowledge. Teacher’s digital text-based sequencing of learning situations, based on the principle of integrity, provides a sequence of future-oriented behavioral acts in the context of neuroscience achievements.
