COVID-19 uzdrmala je ...svjetski opskrbni lanac kako ranije nije viđeno. Na tako
iznenadan šok adekvatno nisu mogla odgovoriti čak ni poduzeća s uspostavljenim visoko
kvalitetnim sustavima upravljanja rizikom. Godinama se najveći dio svjetske robne
razmjene odvija pomorskim putem ponajprije zbog učinkovitosti te ekonomičnosti koju
isti nudi. Uslijed pandemije COVID-19 došlo je do značajnijih promjena na tržištu što je
rezultiralo ranije nezabilježenim rastom vozarina u kontejnerskom pomorskom prometu.
Rast vozarina na ovom tržištu predstavlja globalni problem jer će se isti, razmjerno o
uključenosti pojedinih potrošačkih dobara u opskrbne lance, odraziti i na njihove cijene.
Oporavak cjelokupnog svjetskog gospodarstva je ugrožen ovako visokim vozarinama u
kontejnerskom pomorskom prometu, a i dodatno ugrožava stabilnost opskrbnih lanaca.
Stoga je u fokusu ovog rada volatilnost vozarina na kontejnerskom pomorskom tržištu
koja se javila uslijed pandemije COVID-19.
In today's environment, for the companies to survive, it is necessary that they establish strong positions. Positioning enables a firm to present its strategy to the target market and gives it the ...possibility of managing the users of its services. Management faces the most crucial decision: to determine the desired positioning strategy. Since road freight transporters are leaders in Croatian land transportation, the focus of this paper is placed on the analysis of their strategic positioning. In last years it become crucial for road freight transporting companies that they direct their interest from the basic service (transportation) to additional services to surpass the needs and expectations of their users. Strategies that can be used for positioning of road freight company have been analysed. Due to that the key factors (macro environment and regulation, logistics strategies of the borderline industries, sources of creating value in road freight industry) that determine the process of their positioning have been analysed.

The method is mathematically ...based on the semi-Markov process. The developed method enables revision of unproductive manipulation frequency and duration. It provides an opportunity to analyse and change inland terminal operations so as to increase productivity.
The road freight industry is a structurally competitive sector which is oriented towards distribution, logistics and basic physical transport. Road freight transport represents the leading transport ...branch in the European Union, and the same situation is on Croatian transport market. The activities of the Croatian road freight transporters on the foreign market have been continually increasing. This paper aimed to analyse the need for the influence of the institutional framework on the business success of Croatian road freight transporters. Special attention in conducted primary research has been given to examining the relationship between the distribution of the CEMT permits and business success. The results have confirmed that institutional conditions are essential for interpreting the changes in the business success of Croatian road freight transporters. The companies that stated how the CEMT permits and bilateral distribution system negatively influences their business have the lowest average values of the profit (loss) in relation to the assets and the capital. It is crucial to provide more CEMT and bilateral permits for Croatian road freight transporters in the future. It is necessary to coordinate the legislators with the practice to ensure that the amendments that will be adopted in the future also ensure sufficient conditions for successful business.
The purpose of this study was to explore outsourcing as a possible source of competitive advantage for road freight operators, with the empirical research directed towards the road freight ...transportation sector. Methodologically, this study drew on the data collected from a sample of Croatian road freight transporters. Because a certain number of transportation companies tend to outsource their resources, the insight into outsourcing activities was gained through analysing (1) the number of hired vehicles in the fleet (outsourced vehicles), and (2) the number of hired drivers (outsourced drivers). A variance inflation test, correlation and multiple regression analysis were conducted to test the model assumptions. The research results confirmed the connection between the externalised resources and the differentiation of services and staff. The main contribution and managerial implications included that the companies with a more significant number of hired vehicles in their fleet should differentiate their services. In contrast, the companies that own the majority of their vehicles should build their competitive advantage through staff differentiation.
