EN This paper presents an autonomous intelligent agent developed for healthcare in geriatric residences. The paper focuses on the role of ambient intelligence in the automation of healthcare ...services. The work here presented shows the development of an autonomous agent, TaskCBP, which incorporates a model of human thinking, such as reasoning based on past experiences. The planning mechanism integrated within the agent has been implemented by means of a novel QSOR neural network. The system has been tested and this paper presents the results obtained.
ES En este trabajo se presenta un agente inteligente autónomo desarrollado para la atención sanitaria en residencias geriátricas. El documento se centra en el papel de la inteligencia ambiental en la automatización de los servicios de salud. El trabajo que aquí se presenta muestra el desarrollo de un agente autónomo, TaskCBP, que incorpora un modelo de pensamiento humano, tales como el razonamiento basado en las experiencias del pasado. El mecanismo de planificación integrado en el agente se ha implementado a través de una novela de redes neuronales QSOR. El sistema ha sido probado y este trabajo presenta los resultados obtenidos.

Because as is known, natural phenomena have always existed, but in recent years as a result of global warming we have seen that floods are becoming more frequent, which has forced the creation of specialized agencies and intelligent mechanisms to prevent the loss of human lives due to these phenomena.

ES Durante los últimos años el uso de aplicaciones basadas en servicios Web se ha incrementado notablemente. Sin embargo, la seguridad no ha evolucionado de forma proporcional, lo que hace que estas ...aplicaciones sean vulnerables y objeto de ataques . Uno de los ataques más comunes que requieren soluciones novedosas es el ataque de denegación de servicio (DoS ) , causada por las modificaciones introducidas en el XML de los mensajes SOAP. Las especificaciones de las normas de seguridad existentes no se centran en este tipo de ataque . En este artículo se presenta la arquitectura S –MAS como un nuevo enfoque de adaptación para hacer frente a los ataques de denegación de servicio en entornos de servicios Web , lo que representa una alternativa a las soluciones centralizadas existentes . S - MAS propone una estructura jerárquica distribuida de arquitectura multi - agente que implementa un mecanismo de clasificación en dos fases . Los principales beneficios de este enfoque son las capacidades distribuidas de los sistemas multi-agente y la capacidad de auto –adaptación a los cambios que se producen en los patrones de ataque . Un prototipo de la arquitectura se ha desarrollado y los resultados obtenidos se presentan en este estudio.
EN During the last years the use of Web Service-based applications has notably increased. However, the security has not evolved proportionally, which makes these applications vulnerable and objective of attacks. One of the most common attacks requiring novel solutions is the denial of service attack(DoS), caused for the modifications introduced in the XML of the SOAP messages. The specifications of existing security standards do not focus on this type of attack. This article presents the S-MAS architecture as a novel adaptive approach for dealing with DoS attacks in Web Service environments, which represents an alternative to the existing centralized solutions. S-MAS proposes a distributed hierarchical multi-agent architecture that implements a classification mechanism in two phases. The main benefits of the approach are the distributed capabilities of the multi-agent systems and the self-adaption ability to the changes that occur in the patterns of attack. A prototype of the architecture was developed and the results obtained are presented in this study.
EN This article presents a distributed agent-based system that can process the visual information obtained by stereoscopic cameras. The system is embedded within a global project whose objective is ...to develop an intelligent environment for location and identification within dependent environments that merges with other types of technologies. In this kind of environments, vision algorithms are very costly and require a lot of time to produce a response, which is highly inconvenient since many applications can require action to be taken in real time. A multi-agent system (MAS) can automate the process of analyzing images obtained by cameras, and optimize the procedure. This study presents a MAS that can process stereoscopic images to detect and classify people by combining a series of novel techniques. The article shows in detail the combination of techniques used to perform the detection process. The process can be subdivided into human detection, human tracking, and human behavior understanding. With the addition of a casebased reasoning (CBR) model, the system can also incorporate reasoning capabilities. The system was tested under different conditions and environments.
ES En este artículo se presenta un agente sistema de base distribuida que puede procesar la información visual obtenida por cámaras estereoscópicas . El sistema está incrustado dentro de un proyecto global cuyo objetivo es desarrollar un sistema inteligente para la localización e identificación dentro de ambientes dependientes que con otros tipos de tecnologías. En este tipo de entornos , algoritmos de visión, son muy costosos y requieren mucho tiempo para producir una respuesta, que puede sea altamente inconveniente ya que muchas aplicaciones requieren medidas que deben adoptarse en tiempo real. Un sistema multi-agente (MAS ) puede automatizar el proceso de análisis de imágenes obtenidas por cámaras , y optimizar el procedimiento. Este estudio presenta un MAS que puede procesar imágenes estereoscópicas para detectar y clasificar a las personas mediante la combinación de una serie de técnicas novedosas . El artículo muestra en detalle la combinación de técnicas utilizadas para realizar el proceso de detección . Este proceso puede ser subdividido en detección de seres humanos , el seguimiento humano y comprensión del comportamiento humano- Con la adición de un caso base, modelo de razonamiento ( CBR ) , el sistema también puede incorporar capacidades de razonamiento .El sistema fue probado bajodiferentes condiciones y entornos.
ENBackground: MicroRNAs are known to inhibit gene expression by binding to the 3′UTR of the target transcript. Downregulation of miR-223 has been recently reported to have prognostic significance in ...CLL. However, there is no evidence of the pathogenetic mechanism of this miRNA in CLL patients. Methods: By applying next-generation sequencing techniques we have detected a common polymorphism (rs2307842), in 24% of CLL patients, which disrupts the binding site for miR-223 in HSP90B1 3′UTR. We investigated whether miR-223 directly targets HSP90B1 through luciferase assays and ectopic expression of miR-223. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and western blot were used to determine HSP90B1 expression in CLL patients. The relationship between rs2307842 status, HSP90B1 expression and clinico-biological data were assessed. Results: HSP90B1 is a direct target for miR-223 by interaction with the putative miR-223 binding site. The analysis in paired samples (CD19+ fraction cell and non-CD19+ fraction cell) showed that the presence of rs2307842 and IGHV unmutated genes determined HSP90B1 overexpression in B lymphocytes from CLL patients. These results were confirmed at the protein level by western blot. Of note, HSP90B1 overexpression was independently predictive of shorter time to the first therapy in CLL patients. By contrast, the presence of rs2307842 was not related to the outcome. Conclusions: HSP90B1 is a direct target gene of miR-223. Our results provide a plausible explanation of why CLL patients harboring miR-223 downregulation are associated with a poor outcome, pointing out HSP90B1 as a new pathogenic mechanism in CLL and a promising therapeutic target.
EN This paper presents an intelligent environment developed for monitoring patients’ health care in execution time in hospital environments. The CBPMP (Case-Based Planner for monitoring patients) is ...an autonomous deliberative case-based planner designed to plan the nurses’ working time dynamically, to maintain the standard working reports about the nurses’ activities, and to guarantee that the patients assigned to the nurses are given the right care. The planner operates in wireless devices and is integrated with complementary software into an intelligent environment, named AmI-P (Ambient Intelligence for Patients). CBPMP description, its relationship with the complementary technology, and preliminary results of system prototype in a real environment are presented.
ES Este artículo presenta un entorno inteligente desarrollado para el seguimiento de la atención de salud de los pacientes en el tiempo de ejecución en entornos hospitalarios. El CBPMP (planificador basado en casos para el seguimiento de los pacientes) es un planificador autónomo basado en casos deliberativos diseñados para planificar el tiempo de trabajo de las enfermeras dinámicamente, para mantener los informes habituales de trabajo sobre las actividades de las enfermeras, y para garantizar que los pacientes asignados a las enfermeras se les da la atención adecuada. El planificador opera en telefonía móvil dispositivos y se integra con el software complementario en un entorno inteligente, llamado AMI-P (Inteligencia Ambiental para los pacientes). Descripción CBPMP, su relación con la complementaria tecnología, y los resultados preliminares del prototipo del sistema en un entorno real se presentan.
EN This work presents a system for automatically evaluating the interaction that exists between the atmosphere and the ocean’s surface. Monitoring and evaluating the ocean’s carbon exchange process ...is a function that requires working with a great amount of data: satellite images and in situ vessel’s data. The system presented in this study focuses on computational intelligence. The study presents an intelligent system based on the use of case-based reasoning (CBR) systems and offers a distributed model for such an interaction. Moreover, the system takes into account the fact that the working environment is dynamic and therefore it requires autonomous models that evolve over time. In order to resolve this problem, an intelligent environment has been developed, based on the use of CBR systems, which are capable of handling several goals, by constructing plans from the data obtained through satellite images and research vessels, acquiring knowledge and adapting to environmental changes. The artificial intelligence system has been successfully tested in the North Atlantic Ocean, and the results obtained will be presented in this study.
ES Este trabajo presenta un sistema para evaluar automáticamente la interacción que existe entre la atmósfera y la superficie del océano . Monitoreo y evaluación de los océanos, el proceso de intercambio de carbono es una función que requiere trabajar con una gran cantidad de datos : imágenes de satélite y con los datos de los buques in situ. El sistema que se presenta en este estudio se centra en la inteligencia computacional . El estudio presenta un sistema inteligente basado en el sistema de razonamiento basado en casos (CBR) y ofrece un modelo distribuido de tal interacción. Además, el sistema tiene en cuenta el hecho de que el entorno de trabajo es dinámico y por lo tanto requiere de modelos autónomos que evolucionan con el tiempo. Con el fin de resolver este problema , un entorno inteligente ha sido desarrollado , basándose en el uso de sistemas de RBC , que son capaces de manejar varios objetivos , mediante la construcción de los planes de los datos obtenidos a través de imágenes de satélite y buques de investigación , la adquisición de conocimientos y la adaptación a los cambios del medio ambiente. El sistema de inteligencia artificial ha sido probado con éxito en el norte del Océano Atlántico, y los resultados obtenidos se presentan en este estudio.
EN The paper describes the process by which the word alignment task performed within SOMAgent works in collaboration with the statistical machine translation system in order to learn a phrase ...translation table. We studied improvements in the quality of translation using syntax augmented machine translation. We also experimented with different degrees of linguistic analysis from the lexical level to a syntactic or semantic level, in order to generate a more precise alignment. We developed a contextual environment using the Self-Organizing Map, which can model a semantic agent (SOMAgent) that learns the correct meaning of a word used in context in order to deal with specific phenomena such as ambiguity, and to generate more precise alignments that can improve the first choice of the statistical machine translation system giving linguistic knowledge.
ES El artículo describe el proceso por el cual se realiza una tarea de alineación de palabras realizado dentro SOMAgent que trabaja en colaboración con el sistema de traducción automática estadística con el fin de aprender una tabla de traducción de la frase. Se estudian las mejoras en la calidad de la traducción usando la sintaxis mecánica de traducción aumentada . También se experimentó con diferentes grados de análisis lingüístico, del nivel léxico o nivel semántico, con el fin de generar una alineación más precisa. Desarrollamos un ambiente contextual utilizando el mapa auto-organización, que puede modelar un agente semántico (SOMAgent) que aprende el correcto significado de una palabra que se usa en el contexto con el fin de hacer frente a fenómenos específicos como la ambigüedad, y para generar alineaciones más precisas que pueden mejorar la estadística de la utilización de sistemas de traducción automática para los conocimientos lingüísticos.
ES En la actualidad, la asignación de tareas es un problema en muchas áreas diferentes, tales como e-Gobierno. Tradicionalmente, la asignación se hace manualmente; por lo tanto, es necesario ...anticipar las cargas de trabajo y las características de los empleados. En este artículo se describe un sistema basado en las organizaciones virtuales de agentes que permiten recomendaciones sobre la planificación de las tareas para minimizar los recursos necesarios para su realización y para obtener el máximo beneficio. Para este fin, un sistema de inteligencia artificial híbrido con el algoritmo genético, la teoría de puesta en cola y el razonamiento basado en casos se utiliza para obtener una distribución eficiente. La parte final del el artículo se centra en validar el plan desarrollado en el interior de un caso de estudio centrado en el e-Gobierno con el fin de obtener resultados empíricos.
EN Currently, the allocation of tasks is a problem in many different areas such as e-Goverment. Traditionally, the assignment is done manually; therefore it is necessary to anticipate workloads and employee characteristics. This article describes a system based on virtual organizations of agents that allows recommendations about planning of tasks to minimize the resources necessary for their accomplishment and to obtain the maximum profit. For this purpose, a hybrid artificial intelligence system with genetic algorithm, queuing theory and case-based reasoning is used to obtain an efficient distribution. The final part of the article is focused on validating the plan developed inside a case of study centered in the e-Government in order to obtain empirical results.
EN Clustering is a branch of multivariate analysis that is used to create groups of data. Most of the existing clustering techniques required fining additional information, including the actual ...number of clusters, before they can be carried out. This article presents a novel neural network that is capable of creating groups by using a combination of hierarchical clustering and self- organizing maps, without requiring the number of existing clusters to be specified be forehand. The self-organized cluster automatic detection neural network is described in detail ,focus in gon the density, the average distance , the division algorithm, the up date algorithm and the training phase. Three case studies have been carried out in this research in order to evaluate the performance of the neural network, and the results obtained are presented with in this article.
ES La agrupación es una rama de análisis multivariante que se utiliza para crear grupos de datos. La mayoría de las técnicas de agrupamiento existentes requieren clarificación a través de información adicional, incluyendo el número real de grupos, antes de que puedan llevarse a cabo. En este artículo se presenta una novedosa red neuronal que es capaz de crear grupos mediante el uso de una combinación de conglomerados jerárquicos y mapas auto-organizativos, sin que el número de grupos existentes a especificar que se conduce. El grupo de redes neuronales detección automática auto-organizado se describe en detalle, se centran en función de la densidad, la distancia media, el algoritmo de la división, el algoritmo de la fecha y la fase de entrenamiento. Tres estudios de casos se han llevado a cabo en esta investigación con el fin de evaluar el rendimiento de la red neuronal, y los resultados obtenidos se presentan en este artículo.
