This paper provides an overview of the relationship between proactive computing and autonomic computing, considering the design of systems that are beyond the scope of the existing computational ...infrastructure. Autonomic computing, as described by IBM's manifesto on the subject, is a clear statement of the difficulties and challenges facing the computing industry today. In particular, autonomic computing addresses the problem of managing complexity. Intel Research is exploring computing futures that overlap autonomic computing but also explore new application domains that require principles called proactive computing, enabling the transition from today's interactive systems to proactive environments that anticipate our needs and act on our behalf.
Abstract Purpose Prospective evaluation of diagnostic accuracy of single field-of-view contrast-enhanced MR Angiography (ceMRA) with 1.0 M gadobutrol compared to intraarterial DSA in body arteries. ...Materials and methods In an European multicenter study 179 patients underwent ceMRA and DSA. For each indication five prospectively defined vessel segments were evaluated by local investigators onsite and by three site-independent blinded readers (BR) independently. Results The agreement between ceMRA and DSA diagnosis was statistically significant in the onsite (96.6%) and blinded reader (86.6–90.2%) evaluation. Sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive (PPV) and negative predictive values (NPV) for detection of relevant stenosis (>50%) were calculated for the right and left internal carotid arteries, and common and external iliac arteries: Sensitivity was 95–98% (onsite) and 76–96% (BR), specificity 94–96% (onsite) and 86–94% (BR), accuracy 96% (onsite) and 87–93% (BR), NPV 98–99% (onsite) and 84–98% (BR), and PPV 79–93% (onsite) and 44–91% (BR), respectively. Conclusion CeMRA of body arteries using 1.0 M gadobutrol provides diagnostic information comparable to intraarterial DSA.
SEABank is the new digital bank that gives offer with benefit to the customers and predicting their customers capacity well. Though conventional bank also have digital system, SEABank and ...conventional bank have few differences in features and financial cost. Through Krippendorf content analysis, the topic will be explored moderately and easy to read. The fact that the knowledge and capabilities gap between youngsters and elders make this topic functional for different perspective for SEABank and other digital bank users. The content analysis shows us that even in the middle of dynamic in digital bank and conventional bank, financial literacy will be affected.
Despite the rapid rise in the performance of a variety of perovskite optoelectronic devices with vertical charge transport, the effects of ion migration remain a common and longstanding Achilles heel ...limiting the long-term operational stability of lead halide perovskite devices. However, there is still limited understanding of the impact of tin (Sn) substitution on the ion dynamics of lead (Pb) halide perovskites. Here, we employ scan-rate-dependent current-voltage measurements on Pb and mixed Pb-Sn perovskite solar cells to show that short circuit current losses at lower scan rates, which can be traced to the presence of mobile ions, are present in both kinds of perovskites. To understand the kinetics of ion migration, we carry out scan-rate-dependent hysteresis analyses and temperature-dependent impedance spectroscopy measurements, which demonstrate suppressed ion migration in Pb-Sn devices compared to their Pb-only analogues. By linking these experimental observations to first-principles calculations on mixed Pb-Sn perovskites, we reveal the key role played by Sn vacancies in increasing the iodide ion migration barrier due to local structural distortions. These results highlight the beneficial effect of Sn substitution in mitigating undesirable ion migration in halide perovskites, with potential implications for future device development.

Advanced personal wireless mobile devices, such as today's emerging smart phones, are capable computers that have the potential to enable individuals to share personal content, such as photographs, ...music, and video. Face to face sharing can be a satisfying and even emotional experience, yet it is not well supported by existing digital technologies, which typically isolate media into separate collections or require that they be manually combined into a single collection on a single machine. Federating wireless mobile devices with fixed infrastructure, such as a digital home entertainment center, provides a lightweight, unified, and intuitive way to share media among friends and family. This paper looks at both technological and social issues that surround sharing media using federated devices, considering the relevant emerging technologies, media types, and usage contexts.
This paper proposes a feature-based design system for prismatic parts in which predefined 3D features, instead of low-level 2D lines and points, are used as entities for representation and ...manipulation. Two special sets of functions, a new construction function and a dynamic editing function, enable designers to freely construct and modify parts. The parts are saved as feature-based files in CSG form, while a B-rep form is also created. The feature-based file allows the proposed 3D part-design system to be easily integrated into CAPP/CAM systems without complex feature-recognition and -extraction processes. Object-oriented concepts are used in implementing the proposed system, and examples are given to show its feasibility and effectiveness.
