With the purpose of establishing differences in behaviour of tourist destination visitors this paper aims to identify their habits, attitudes and activities with regard to transport modalities used ...on a daily basis, during the trip to the destination, and while staying in the destination, highlighting the aspect of smart technology usage. The results of this study are part of a more extensive research on the behaviour of tourist destination visitors, conducted as part of the Project Cekom – Competence Center for Smart Cities, whereby the research tools and methods were built on the ETIS (European Tourism Indicators System) methodology. Approximately seven hundred visitors of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, which was taken as a case study, were included in the research. The study showed that accessibility was one of the key factors in destination choice for the respondents, and that their everyday transport behaviour patterns differ somewhat from their behaviour pattern when travelling and vacationing. Statistically significant differences were determined in the perceived experience of different groups of destination visitors’, as well as in the frequency of use of smart technologies among groups of visitors with different transport behaviour. One of the research limitations with regard to generalization of conclusions is research focus on a specific destination area, as well as the pre-defined structure of the research sample, which is in line with the requirements of the funding EU project. Differences in transportation behaviour among groups of respondents in general, and in relation to the use of smart technologies, should be verified on a larger sample, in other destination areas. Acknowledging the behavioural aspects, i.e. the differences in the transport behaviour and smart technologies usage has social and practical implications for destinations, in the context of the changed dynamics in the relationships and roles of stakeholders on the tourism market.

An in-depth literature review followed by a discussion is substantiated with synthesised research findings on the current development, 5G coverage, use and deployment of IoT in smart cities, and forecasting the evolution of its application in smart cities.
The development of technology in many ways determines the business concepts and way of business processes at all levels of business. Tourism business, today can not be imagined without the ...integration of Internet and the Web in everyday business practice. Semantic Web (which deals with aspects of the meaning) is an extension of the World Wide Web as seen through the integration of "machine" technology and human intelligence (human brain), and is often described in different ways as a Utopian vision, website data-information, or paradigm change in everyday use of web. Modern business via the web starts from the behavioral approach of all involved in the business process, particularly in the area of online promotion, whereby the base of a dynamic web site should be automatism which is based on the results of semantic analysis. Business via the web is increasingly important and dominant in the business. Business "Systems" - companies in the tourism industry must follow modern trends and continuously adopt technological changes from the global context. In this way the positive effect is visible at the web site user side (satisfaction) and on the better business results on the other hand. The main feature of this paper is to present behavioral models in the tourism business through the prism of the Semantic Web paradigm.
Awareness that the successful performance of any company depends upon making and implementing decisions has caused special attention to be focused on researching issues related to the decision ...process. Certainly, rapid IT development is an important source of change, enabling the emergence of new decision-making methods and techniques not previously applied by managers. This paper focuses on Decision Support Systems, because their purpose is to provide assistance to managers in making the appropriate decisions to non-structured problems in decision-making. The survey was conducted on a representative sample comprising 124 hotels in the Primorsko-Goranska County and the Istria County of the Republic of Croatia. Results show that, in Croatian hotel practices, information technology continues to represent an operational tool used primarily to support operational management levels, while top management levels often fail to recognize and, consequently, fail to apply to any significant extent the advantages information technology offers to improve the management of their facility.
The development of logistics information systems that support decision-making, together with the use of business intelligence, provides assistance and support to logistics managers in the decision ...process, thereby impacting on the quality of business and productivity. Being better informed and having greater intelligence for decision-making can help to create new value and gain competitive advantage. Logistics business systems in a tourism destination appreciate the importance of information and communication technology in the decision process and seek to develop efficient logistics information systems that will make it possible to take better and more appropriate decisions directly aimed at improving business efficiency and productivity.
