Learn a subject, for some people, might be an uninteresting and boring activity, especially when the subject to learn are difficult subjects to understand. Many methods used to change learning ...activities become more enjoyable and interested. This study proposed a new method in learning activities, by applied augmented reality technology in the learning process. The case study used in this paper are implementation the augmented reality in studied subjects related to train technology. In this study, author implement augmented reality on learning material, combines real and virtual things in one media, in this case a mobile device. The impact of implementation of augmented studied, at the end of experiment, author can conclude when implement augmented reality technology in learning material helps the learning process and increasing the impressive and fun factor in learning process and make the learning process more interested. Implementation of Augmented Reality in learning material gives more information about the object being studied, information about on shapes, textures, and provide more visualization for the object.
The number of times students attend lectures has been identified as one of many success factors in the learning process in many studies. We proposed a framework of the student attendance system by ...using face recognition as authentication. Triplet loss embedding in FaceNet is suitable for face recognition systems because the architecture has high accuracy, quite lightweight, and easy to implement in the real-time face recognition system. In our research, triplet loss embedding shows good performance in terms of the ability to recognize faces. It can also be used for real-time face recognition for the authentication process in the attendance recording system that uses RFID. In our study, the performance for face recognition using k-NN and SVM classification methods achieved results of 96.2 +/- 0.1% and 95.2 +/- 0.1% accordingly. Attendance recording systems using face recognition as an authentication process will increase student attendance in lectures. The system should be difficult to be faked; the system will validate the user or student using RFID cards using facial biometric marks. Finally, students will always be present in lectures, which in turn will improve the quality of the existing education process. The outcome can be changed in the future by using a high-resolution camera. A face recognition system with facial expression recognition can be added to improve the authentication process. For better results, users are required to perform an expression instructed by face recognition using a database and the YOLO process.
Many studies have been conducted in the field of face aging, from approaches that use pure image-processing algorithms, to those that use generative adversarial networks. In this study, we review a ...classic approach that uses a generative adversarial network. The structure, formulation, learning algorithm, challenges, advantages, and disadvantages of the algorithms contained in each proposed algorithm are discussed systematically. Generative Adversarial Networks are an approach that obtains the status of the art in the field of face aging by adding an aging module, paying special attention to the face part, and using an identity-preserving module to preserve identity. In this paper, we also discuss the database used for facial aging, along with its characteristics. The dataset used in the face aging process must have the following criteria: (1) a sufficiently large age group in the dataset, each age group must have a small range, (2) a balanced distribution of each age group, and (3) has enough number of face images.

Unfortunately, health centers in Indonesia have not yet implemented business intelligence application. There are many public and private health centers do not apply automated operational system. A study of the literature is conducted to find evidence of the application of BI, and any sector of the BI can be applied. Many sectors in health services where BI can be applied to improve the productivity quality of service and competitiveness in this era of globalization.

To measure the English proficiency of ‘Binusians’ with TOEFL standards and provide rapid and ...credible test results, an program design of online English test application (ATBIO) is created by displaying a random question, in which every examinee gets different questions. Prior to the design, first performed profile analysis of the questions in the TOEFL test held by Binus University Language Center. Following is the design of the program using standard UML 2.0 notation. Furthermore, the author submitted the draft to be built by the program developers using java script or ASP. With credible, fast and accurate results of ATBIO, it is expected that people, departments or organizations concerned with these test results can immediately make decisions and take necessary actions.
The purpose of this research is to build an independent language learning applications using Internet technologies to facilitate the user in learning the language. The research method used is by ...analyzing the ongoing learning process; analyze the constraints and limitations of existing facilities and designing new processes to address existing constraints and limitations. In designing a language self learning website authors examine the existing through observation, interviews and questionnaires to the stakeholders who use the system. Observations also observed duration of the user in conducting learning activities, and provided space to accommodate the transaction. After analysis of the current system, author designing the new system using object-oriented design methods and using analysis tools UML. After completed the system design done system built using ASP.NET programming language. The Conclusions is an independent language learning applications using Internet technology giving easy way to facilitate the learning process in terms of accesing time and place, and the application also provide facilities for teacher to monitoring student self learning.
Despite the common misperception of playing games as wasteful activity, studies found that some of its components may contribute to users’ knowledge generation, soft skill improvement, and foreign ...language learning. This article reports the development of an application for reading and the initial impacts of the gamification-based application on students’ reading comprehension in English. The application was aimed to support generation Z's university students who are well exposed to gadgets with the ability in comprehending challenging texts. In addition to the sociocultural theory of learning and second language acquisition theories, we considered factors like university students as users, texts’ complexity offered at the university level, and gamification features in designing the application. The study resulted in a prototype of a gaming activity called” ReadOn”. Surveys, interviews, and experiments were carried out on a small group of participants during, and after designing processes. The Survey data was used as a foundation to design the app while the interview and the experiments provided data to explore the usability of the newly built prototype. The data of students’ experience in using the prototype was used as feedback for future development of the platform.
