In the last decade, a growing body of research has dealt with the effects of cyberbullying on mental health of children and youth, and the results have systematically shown that cyberbullying is on ...the rise and that the mental health consequences are negative for both victims and perpetrators. Effective prevention programs for cyberbullying targeting children, youth, professionals, parents, and all those involved in upbringing are being developed and evaluated in the world, Europe and Croatia. Common features of implementing successful prevention programs that most authors agree on are the education of students, teachers, professional assistants and parents, their collaboration, the use of quality interactive educational content and knowledge of following protocols for schools in cases of electronic violence.
Hrvatska liječnička komora brine za postizanje i održavanje stručne osposobljenosti liječnika prema standardima suvremene medicinske znanosti kroz originalne projekte koji su članovima lako dostupni ...i besplatni. U sklopu sufinanciranog projekta EU-a Kontinuirano stručno usavršavanje liječnika opće/obiteljske medicine tiskana su četiri priručnika te je izrađena edukacijska elektronička platforma na kojoj polaznici mogu pogledati stotinjak predavanja iz različitih područja medicine. Kroz projekt se provode i trodnevne praktične radionice na naprednim modelima i simulatorima za vježbanje kliničkih vještina i usavršavanje u snalaženju u hitnim medicinskim stanjima. Digitalna platforma e-Akademija pruža mogućnost pristupa stručnim edukacijama i stjecanja bodova potrebnih za relicenciranje. Kroz e-Akademiju pristupa se elektroničkoj medicinskoj nakladi, bazi lijekova, bazi medicinskih smjernica, razvoju vještina, brige o mentalnom i fizičkom zdravlju. HeMED je internetski portal i mobilna aplikacija koja liječnicima, studentima medicine, ostalim zdravstvenim djelatnicima, ali i svima zainteresiranima na hrvatskome jeziku, u digitalnom obliku, osigurava besplatan pristup najnovijim, kontinuirano ažuriranim, izdanjima kapitalnih medicinskih knjiga. Također omogućava interaktivno pretraživanje knjiga i baza lijekova. Kroz Tečaj osnova medicinskog prava Pravna služba i dužnosnici Komore upoznaju mlade liječnike s osnovnim pravnim aktima iz zdravstvenog zakonodavstva, uključujući i Kodeks medicinske etike i deontologije. Komora je autor i vlasnik Digitalnog atlasa hrvatskog liječništva, najopsežnije i najkompleksnije digitalne baze podataka o liječnicima u Hrvatskoj koja prikazuje brojne sociodemografske pokazatelje i podatke u realnom vremenu te se kontinuirano nadopunjava novim analizama i prikazima podataka. Glavna edukacijska svrha ovog projekta jest opremiti donositelje odluka u zdravstvenoj administraciji valjanim i točnim podatcima, neophodnima za uspješno upravljanje elementima zdravstvenog sustava.
Croatian Medical Chamber takes care of achieving and maintaining of professional training for doctors according to the standards of modern medical science through original projects that are easily accessible and free of charge for its members. As part of the EU co-financed project Permanent professional development of general/family medicine doctors, four manuals were printed and an educational web platform was created. More than hundred lectures from different fields of medicine are available through this platform. Additionally, three-day practical workshops are conducted on advanced models and simulators. The e-Academy digital platform provides access to professional education and acquisition of CME points needed for relicensing. Members can access to the electronic medical publications, database of medicines and database of medical guidelines. HeMED is an internet portal and mobile application that provides access to the latest, continuously updated, editions of major medical books in Croatian language. It is open to doctors, medical students, other healthcare workers and anyone interested. Interactive search of books and drug databases is enabled. Through the Basics of Medical Law Course, Legal Department of chamber and chamber officials familiarize young doctors with key healthcare acts and regulations. The Digital Atlas of Croatian Medicine Profession is extensive and complex digital database on medical doctors in Croatia, which displays numerous socio-demographic indicators and data in real time and is continuously updated with new analyzes and data. The main educational purpose of this project is to equip decision-makers with valid and accurate data, necessary for the successful management of the health system.
U posljednjem se desetljeću sve veći broj istraživanja bavi posljedicama elektroničkog nasilja po mentalno zdravlje djece i mladih, a rezultati sustavno pokazuju da je elektroničko nasilje u porastu ...te da su posljedice po mentalno zdravlje negativne kako za žrtve, tako i za počinitelje. U svijetu, Europi i Hrvatskoj nastoje se razviti i evaluirati učinkoviti programi preventivnih aktivnosti elektroničkog nasilja usmjereni na djecu, mlade, stručnjake, roditelje i sve one koji sudjeluju u odgoju i obrazovanju djece. Zajednička su obilježja provođenja uspješnih preventivnih programa oko kojih se većina autora slaže edukacija učenika, nastavnika, stručnih suradnika i roditelja, njihova suradnja, korištenje kvalitetnih interaktivnih edukativnih sadržaja te znanja o postupanju po protokolu u slučajevima elektroničkog nasilja.

Introduction: There are limited study data available of the effects of peripheral artery disease (PAD) on patients undergoing chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). ...According to the PROGRESS-CTO Registry results patients with PAD undergoing CTO PCI have more comorbidities, more complex lesions and lower procedural success.1-3 We present the case of successful opening in stent CTO lesion of right coronary artery (RCA) in patient with PAD.
Case report: 59-year-old man with a known history of a coronary vessel disease and PAD presented to our department due to frequent episodes of chest pain under minimal exercise and claudication and pain in the buttocks. The coronary angiography showed unchanged exam in left coronary basin. The RCA was completely occluded in segment two right in the area of the stent that was implanted eight years before. We found collaterals from the left coronary artery system and signs of calcification and autocollaterals for the distal segment of RCA, so the diagnostically criteria of a CTO were fulfilled. Because of the present symptoms of the patient and evidence for vital myocardium by echocardiography and myocardial scintigraphy revascularization of the CTO was performed. An AL 0.75 6F guidance catheter was used and the standard antegrade wire escalation technique attempted. A Turnpike Spiral catheter was inserted with the help of a ASAHI Fielder XT-A wire which was exchanged to an ASAHI Gaia Second which allowed the successful recanalization. Balloon angioplasty was performed with Abbot Traveler 1.5/15mm, Medtronic Euphora 2.57/15mm. Two sirolimus eluting stents (Terumo Ultimaster 3.0/38 mm and Ultimaster 3.0/30 mm) were successfully implanted with very good angiographic result. Three months later, chronic total occlusion of the left external iliac artery was treated successfully by percutaneous intervention and control coronary angiography showed unchanged exam in RCA.
Conclusion: Our experience in this case demonstrates the feasibility of recanalization of an in-stent CTO in the patient with PAD and three months follow up showed improved of angina and quality of life. There is a definite and strong correlation between PAD and CAD. A concurrent PAD diagnosis is associated with higher rates of adverse outcomes following CTO PCI which requires additional monitoring.
