Morphological, immunological and biochemical aspects of pathogenesis and manifestation of the nephrotic syndrome in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis were considered on the basis of the ...authors' result and literature data. High clinical importance of the lymphocyte stimulation index for patients' follow-up was emphasized. 131I-albumin metabolism was studied in 105 patients phenotyping of nephrotic hyperlipoproteinemia was done in 28. The results obtained suggested the relationship of protein, lipid and carbohydrate metabolic derangements with severity of the nephrotic syndrome. Possible causation of the above phenomena was discussed.
The ATLAS collaboration at CERN operated a combined test beam (CTB) from May until November 2004. The prototype of ATLAS data acquisition system (DAQ) was used to integrate other subsystems into a ...common CTB setup. Data were collected synchronously from all the ATLAS detectors, which represented nine different detector technologies. Electronics and software of the first level trigger were used to trigger the setup. Event selection algorithms of the high level trigger were integrated with the system and were tested with real detector data. A possibility to operate a remote event filter farm synchronized with ATLAS TDAQ was also tested. Event data, as well as detectors conditions data were made available for offline analysis

1. Leptospires of mozdok serotype of the Pomona serogroup possessed specific pathogenic properties for a definite subspecies of Apodemus agrarius. They caused carriership in rodents of a European ...population, but were unable to cause such a process in Far East mice. However, leptospires of monjakov and pomona types were also unable to provoke leptospiruria in these small mammals. 2. The intensity of the formation of antibody to leptospires in different subspecies of Apodemus agrarius was dependent on the degree of their susceptibility, determined by the presence of renal leptospirosis. Leptospira-carriers among animals reacted by antibody formation 6-40 times more intensive than in those not susceptible to the infection. 3. Leptospires of pomona, monjakov and mozdok serotypes of the Pomona group taxonomically can be designated as separate subspecies, on the basis of differences in biological properties as related to their natural animal reservoirs.
The spectra of discrete radio sources measured in the wavelength range of 12.6–25 MHz are analysed and classified. Besides the well-known spectral types with zero and negative curvature, the spectra ...include a type with positive curvature and also some with a complicated shape exhibiting curvature of variable sign. Preliminary results of measurements of the stability of the spectral characteristics show that most sources have spectra which are relatively stable with time, but that the sources 3C 84, 3C 144 and 3C 461 show variable spectra with a variation increasing at decreasing frequency in the decametric range. Some mechanisms of radio wave generation leading to various spectral types are discussed.
