A gyrogroup is a structure constituting from a non-empty set and a binary operation such that satisfying the left identity, and left inverse conditions, and also has the associative-like law said to ...be left gyroassociativity and left loop property. In this paper, we propose a method for constructing new gyrogroups of order \(2^n\) by a cyclic 2-group that is \(\mathbb{Z}_{2^n}\), where \(n\geq 3\).
Fat embolism syndrome (FES) is most often associated with orthopedic trauma that typically presents 24-72 hours after the trauma with a classic triad. Only few cases of fat embolism due to lower ...extremity venous system had been reported.
The current case report presents a pregnant woman who was referred to our emergency department with bilateral femoral open fracture. After detecting fetal demise by abdominopelvic ultrasound, an area of fat density in right external iliac vein was detected in abdominopelvic contrast enhanced computed tomography (CT) scan which was considered as the probable diagnosis of fat embolism. While the patient did not show signs and symptoms of FES, the fat embolism was confirmed in further evaluations.
In summary, although detection of fat embolus in CT scan in the emergency department is very rare, evaluation of lower extremity venous system in a posttraumatic patient seems to be crucial because early diagnosis of fat embolism can help the clinicians to prevent FES.
In this paper, we propose a novel approach for the numerical solution of fuzzy fractional differential equations (FFDEs) under fuzzy Caputo-type derivative. More specifically, we first obtain the ...equivalent integral form of original problem, then the fractional integral equation is approximated using Laplace transforms. Afterwards, we can get the solution by employing any numerical method. Indeed, the proposed approach introduces an efficient and practical way to solve a wide range of fractional models under uncertainty. The most important advantage of this procedure is that the complexity of dealing with the fractional derivative is removed from the calculations, which can reduce the computational costs, considerably. Illustrative examples address the validity and appropriateness of this technique.
The aim of this work was to use sonographic image features as biomarker to assess the malignancy of thyroid nodules in patients recommended to FNA according to ACR TI-RADS guideline. Two hundred and ...ten patients with FNA test report were included in this study. Eighty Different quantitative radiomic features were extracted from sonographic images. Minimum Redundancy Maximum Relevance (MRMR) and logistic regression (LR) algorithms were used as feature selector and classifier, respectively. The evaluation of the models was performed using accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). AUC of MRMR feature selection algorithm and LR classifier was 0.87 (with accuracy of 0.74, sensitivity of 0.85 and specificity of 0.60). In the validation dataset, the AUC was 0.92 (with accuracy of 0.70, sensitivity of 0.81 and specificity of 0.58). The proposed model could be potentially used as alternative to FNA as noninvasive tools in clinical setting.
In the current manuscript we suggest an approach to obtain the solutions of the fuzzy fractional differential equations(FFDEs). We found the operational matrix within the modified Laguerre functions. ...In this way the investigated equations are turned into a set of algebraic equations. We provide examples to illustrate both accuracy and simplicity of the suggested approach.
