We provide a visualization method to observe the photoinduced charge transfer and electron–hole coherence in the two-photon absorption (TPA), especially including the optical properties in the ...“hidden” intermediate states in TPA. A new method for analyzing the characteristics of two-photon excitation is proposed using a two-step process, which is closest to the physical reality process. These visualization methods include transition density matrix, charge density difference, and transition dipole moment in TPA involving both ground and excited state wavefunctions and the transition dipole moments among electric transitions from ground to intermediate and to final excited states. Our visualization method of photoinduced CT and electron–hole coherence in TPA can promote deeper understanding and design molecules with large cross sections in TPA.
Radar detection of maritime targets plays an important role in marine environment monitoring. For civil maritime detection in the areas of inshore coastal, pulse-compression radar is universally used ...owing to its low cost. The complex sea clutter in the practical application will greatly affect the received radar echoes. Due to the inability to accurately describe the differences in characteristics between sea clutter and maritime targets, the detection performance of methods based on mathematical derivation is not satisfactory in actual deployment. Recently, neural-based methods have made strides in many pattern recognition tasks, such as computer vision and natural language processing. The sophisticated deep neural models can be applied to different downstream tasks due to their powerful learning ability. Inspired by this idea, we propose a maritime radar target detection method in sea clutter based on deep learning. To better model the sequence correlation of radar echoes, we propose a Self-Adaption Local Augmented Long Short-Term Memory (SALA-LSTM) structure. The proposed SALA-LSTM integrates adaptive convolution into vanilla LSTM cells, which not only maintains the inherent overall sequence modeling ability of vanilla LSTM, but also strengthens its ability to perceive the correlation on a small scale in the local scope. Based on SALA-LSTM and other neural structures, we propose a radar target detection network. A measured dataset containing different typical scenarios is utilized to evaluate the detection probability and false alarm rate. The detection performance of our proposed network is superior to that of the existing methods.
The chiral source and its mechanism in the molecular system are of great significance in many fields. In this work, we proposed visualized methods to investigate the physical mechanism of a chiral ...molecule, where the electric and magnetic interactions are visualized with the transitional electric dipole moment, the transitional magnetic dipole moment, and the transitional electric quadrupole moment, and their tensor product. This will also serve as an effective means of visualizing the interaction of light with matter. The relationship between the molecular Raman optical activity (ROA) response and molecular structure was analyzed in an intuitive way. The relationship between chromophore chirality and molecular vibration mode are revealed via interaction between the transition electric dipole moment and the transition magnetic dipole moment. The molecular chirality is derived from the anisotropy of the molecular transition electric dipole moment and the transition magnetic dipole moment. The anisotropic dipole moment localized molecular chromophore is the source of the vibration mode in which the ROA responds to the reverse.
In this work, the physical mechanisms of three highly efficient circularly polarized luminescent materials are introduced. The UV–vis spectra are plotted; the transition properties of their electrons ...at the excited states are investigated using a combination of the transition density matrix (TDM) and the charge difference density (CDD); combining the distribution of electron clouds, the essence of charge transfer excitation in three structures is explained. The resonance Raman spectrum of the three structures at the S1 and S2 excited states are calculated. The M, M-4 and M, M-5 structures are found to produce novel chirality by electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectrum, and the reasons for the chirality of the M, M-4 and M, M-5 structures are discussed by analyzing the density of transition electric/magnetic dipole moments (TEDM/TMDMs) in different orientations. Finally, the Raman optical activity (ROA) of M, M-4, and M, M-5 are calculated, and the spectra are plotted. This study will provide guidance for the application of carbon-based nanomaterials in organic electronic devices, solar cells, and optoelectronics.

The field of traditional material modification mainlychanges or enhances certain properties of materials by mixing a variety of materials (to form aheterostructure) and doping. For graphene as well, this paper specifically discusses the use oftraditional modification methods to improve graphene’s electrical and thermoelectrical properties.More deeply, since graphene is an atomic-level thin film material, its shape and edge conformation(zigzag boundary and armchair boundary) have a great impact on performance. Therefore, thispaper reviews the graphene modification field in recent years. Through the change in the shape ofgraphene, the change in the boundary structure configuration, the doping of other atoms, and theformation of a heterostructure, the electrical, thermal, and thermoelectric properties of graphenechange, resulting in broader applications in more fields. Through studies of graphene’s electrical,thermal, and thermoelectric properties in recent years, progress has been made not only inexperimental testing, but also in theoretical calculation. These aspects of graphene are reviewed inthis paper.
The application of wireless power transmission technology is becoming more and more extensive. However, in practical applications, the problem of reducing the energy transmission efficiency caused by ...the offset of the coupling coil needs to be solved urgently. Changing the coil structure is a widely adopted method to deal with this problem. Based on the characteristics of the existing magnetic coupling resonant wireless power transmission system and the principle of the anti-offset coil, this paper innovatively designs a new type of quadrilateral overlapping wireless power transfer coupling coil, which has a strong anti-offset capability. The new type of coil model was built in the simulation and experiment, and the relevant parameters were measured. Experimental results verify that the proposed coil structure has an excellent anti-offset capability.
This paper aims to reveal the interaction relationship between microcracks and macrocracks and the influence of the interaction on the crack propagation behavior. A theoretical model of asphalt ...concrete was established for the interaction between microcracks with different crack densities and a macrocrack. And a meso-structure model of AC-13 dense-graded asphalt concrete was established by combining the Talyor medium method and the DEM (discrete element method). Macro and micro parameters, such as the stress–strain characteristics, crack evolution parameters, and crack tip stress field, were obtained through a semi-circular bend virtual test and used to study the characteristics of crack propagation under the interaction between microcracks and the macrocrack. The results indicate that the interaction has an effect throughout the process of asphalt concrete damage, and shows shielding and acceleration effects as the microcrack density changes. When the microcrack density is low (f3 ≤ 0.8), the crack propagation process, which is affected by the interaction effect, exhibits significant differences, and the interaction effect shows the shielding effect. When the microcrack density is high (f3 > 0.8), the fracture stage is mainly affected by the interaction effect, which shows the acceleration effect. The results provide a predictive theoretical and numerical model for low-temperature cracking of asphalt pavement, and theoretical support for the design, maintenance, and upkeep of long-life pavement.
High-precision 3D point cloud data have various analyses and application use cases. This study aimed to achieve a more precise noise reduction of the raw 3D point cloud data of asphalt pavements ...obtained using 3D laser scanning. Hence, a noise-reduction algorithm integrating improved Gaussian filtering and coefficient of variation was developed. A portable laser scanner was used to collect raw, high-precision 3D point cloud data of surface textures from pavement slab samples prepared with three different types of asphalt mixtures: AC-13, SMA-13, and OGFC-13, as well as asphalt from the test sections of the Yakang Expressway. An improved Gaussian filtering and Gaussian filtering that extracts noise using the coefficient of variation were used to filter out the obvious outlier noise and small-scale burr noise, respectively. Finally, the filtering effect of the proposed algorithm, Gaussian filtering, median filtering, and mean filtering on raw 3D point cloud data of pavement textures was evaluated through subjective visual quality and objective index evaluations. The results showed that the proposed algorithm filters out noise while preserving the micro-texture structure information, outperforming Gaussian filtering, median filtering, and mean filtering.
The electronic states of the twist bilayer graphene (TBG) moiré superlattice are usually regulated by the rotation angle, applied electric field, applied magnetic field, carrier concentration and ...applied stress, and thus exhibit novel physical properties. Squeezing, that is, applying vertical compressive stress to the graphene layers, has profound significance in regulating the photoelectric properties of the moiré superlattice and constructing optical nanodevices. This paper presents the photoelectric properties of a TBG moiré superlattice with a twist angle of 13.17° and tunability under vertical stress. Interlayer distance decreases nonlinearly with compressive stress from 0 to 10 GPa, giving rise to weakened interlayer coupling compared to a Bernal-stacked graphene bilayer and an enhanced repulsive effect between the layers. The calculated Bloch wave functions show a strong dependence on stress. With the increase in stress, the band gaps of the system present a nonlinear increase, which induces and enhances the interlayer charge transfer and leads to the redshift of the absorption spectrum of the moiré superlattice system. By analyzing the differences in the Bloch wave function and charge density differences, we explain the nature of the physical mechanism of photoelectric property change in a stress-regulated twist superlattice system. This study provides a theoretical basis for the identification of piezoelectric properties and the stress regulation of photoelectric devices based on TBG, and also provides a feasible method for regulating the performance of TBG.

-hybridization, is recognized for its unique electronic properties and well-dispersed porosity. Its versatility has led to its use ...in a variety of applications. The precise control of this material's properties is paramount for its effective utilization in nano-optical devices. One effective method of regulation, which circumvents the need for additional disturbances, involves the application of external stress. This technique provides a direct means of eliciting changes in the electronic characteristics of the material. For instance, when subjected to uniaxial stress, electron transfer occurs at the triple bond. This results in an armchair-edged graphdiyne nanoribbon (A(3)-GDYNR) with a planar width of 2.07 nm, which exhibits a subtle plasmon effect at 500 nm. Conversely, a zigzag-edged graphdiyne nanoribbon (Z(3)-GDYNR) with a planar width of 2.86 nm demonstrates a pronounced plasmon effect within the 250-1200 nm range. This finding suggests that the zigzag nanoribbon surpasses the armchair nanoribbon in terms of its plasmon effect. First principles calculations and ab initio molecular dynamics further confirmed that under applied stress Z(3)-GDYNR exhibits less deformation than A(3)-GDYNR, indicating superior stability. This work provides the necessary theoretical basis for understanding graphene nanoribbons (GDYNRs).
