A publication published in Grudziądz in 1900 containing memories of the events of the revolutionary Spring of Nations in 1848, which took place in Poznań and the province of West Prussia. The author ...of the study is Paul Fischer (1859-1930) - long-time editor-in-chief of the Grudziądz magazine Der Gesellige (a magazine that was an undeniable senior among the magazines of Gdańsk Pomerania in the 19th and 20th century, published in 1826-1945). The material was developed on the basis of a series of articles by this author, appearing in the above-mentioned journal in 1898. As in almost all of Europe, also in the Polish lands in the spring of 1848. National struggles and revolutionary speeches took place. Initially, the aim of Poles was to unite and liberate Polish lands from the partitions, and when these plans turned out to be unrealistic, they tried to secure Polish interests within the existing order. The Greater Poland Uprising, also known as Poznań, prepared by Ludwik Mierosławski (1814-1878) and Walenty Stefański (1813-1877), had the greatest range and significance. On March 20, 1848, the National Committee was established in Poznań, which was active in Poznań, then similar organizations were established in Greater Poland, Chełmińska Land and Pomerania. Among the demands of the Poznań Committee, the most important role was played by the demand of the administration operating in the Grand Duchy of Poznań and the organization of the Polish army corps. Ludwik Mierosławski presided over the activities undertaken in the Prussian partition. At first the Prussians looked at the whole action with a lot of tolerance and approval. However, after it became obvious that there would be no conflict with Tsar Nicholas I, the Prussians directly demanded that the Polish army be disarmed. Ultimately, under the agreement signed in Jarosław, a decision was made to partially disarm the insurgents. In return, the Prussians promised Poles the introduction of language autonomy and the transfer of administration. The duchy is divided into two parts: Polish and German, unfortunately the part that fell to the Poles was small. Prussian soldiers won a few very important battles, which they fought with the Polish insurgents at Książ, Miłosław and Sokołów between April, the amaj of 1848. However, the uprising was of great importance when it comes to the fortification of patriotic values and building national attitudes. Spring of Nations also echoed in Silesia, Pomerania, Warmia, Masuria and Małopolska.
Publikacja wydana w Grudziądzu w 1900 roku zawierająca wspomnienia wydarzeń fermentu rewolucyjnego Wiosny Ludów 1848 roku, jakie miały miejsce w Poznaniu i na terenie prowincji Prusy Zachodnie. Wśród postulatów Komitetu Poznańskiego najważniejszą rolę odgrywało żądanie spolszczenia administracji działającej w Wielkim Księstwie Poznańskim i zorganizowanie korpusu wojska polskiego.
