In this paper, intelligent devices in industrial manufacturing are modeled as the nodes in the network systems. The sampled-data control is adopted to guarantee the synchronization of the network ...systems. The proposed sampled-data control strategy can reduce the updating frequency of the controller and the network communication burden. The closed-loop system is equivalently rewritten as the feedback interaction of a linear time-invariant system and a time-delay operator. The small gain theorem is utilized to calculate the upper bound of the sampling intervals. Furthermore, the integral quadratic constraints can provide the passivity-type property of the operator and give less-conservative results. Moreover, in order to further use the information about the sampling pattern and sawtooth structure, the time-delay integral operator is replaced by sample-data integral operator, and less-conservative results are proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed sampled-data distributed control strategy is demonstrated by a numerical example.

H was used to catalyze the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines through a one-pot, ...four-component reaction of aldehydes, dimedone, ethyl cyanoacetate, and ammonium acetate under reflux condition in EtOH as a green solvent. To investigate the textural properties of the prepared catalyst, various techniques were applied such as X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope, and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller. High catalytic activity, easy handling, and thermal stability are the superior properties that could be denoted after successive investigations of this catalyst. In addition, the catalyst can be recovered easily and reused effectively for several cycles.
The fabrication of a new antibacterial system is an essential medical requirement to treat wounds caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria, mostly Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Antibacterial ...photodynamic therapy (APDT) is an encouraging therapy modality for bacterial infection. Anyhow, the applications of most photosensitizers are restricted by their poor water solubility and their inefficiency in disruption of the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria. In this context, zinc phthalocyanine-colistin (ZnPc-Col) conjugate as a new photosensitizer was synthesized in the hope of improving interaction of phthalocyanine with the surface of Gram-negative bacteria. Overcoming the low solubility of phthalocyanine, was achieved by the incorporation of ZnPc-Col into chitosan hydrogel. The weight percentages of ZnPc-Col and glutaraldehyde had remarkable effects in determining the hydrogel microstructure. Different spectroscopic methods, SEM, and rheological measurements were used to assess the properties of ZnPc-Col and prepared hydrogels. The photosensitizing activity of the hydrogels was investigated by application of 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran as a singlet oxygen chemical quencher. Hydrogels bearing zinc phthalocyanine-colistin adduct revealed an improved APDT efficiency compared to hydrogels containing just zinc phthalocyanine component. This enhancement has been seen against P. aeruginosa.

This brief paper studies the exponential stabilization problem for the Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy systems with a variable sampling. Different from previous results, the gains of fuzzy state feedback ...controller adopted in this paper are time-varying during two consecutive sampling instants, which can contribute to the enlargement of the allowable sampling interval by choosing a suitable design parameter. To reduce the design conservativeness, a novel fuzzy time-dependent Lyapunov functional (FTDLF) is put forward to fully exploit the accessible information about the sampling pattern and the fuzzy basis functions. Moreover, a more relaxed constraint condition is presented to ensure the positive definiteness of the FTDLF on sampling intervals. By resorting to the novel FTDLF and the relaxed constraint condition, new exponential stabilization criteria dependent on and independent of upper bounds on time derivatives of fuzzy basis functions are established, by which a larger sampling interval can be achieved. One example is offered to demonstrate the validity and superiorities of the obtained new results.
In this paper, the synchronization issue for network systems with nonlinear dynamics is considered. Together with zero-order holder, the aperiodic sampled-data control law is utilized. Compared with ...the traditional periodic sampled-data control method, this approach demonstrates more greater flexibility. Adopting input delay approach, the initial sampled-data system is remodeled by continuous time system involving time-varying delays in the control signals. For the purpose of designing the sampling controllers suffering constant delays, an updated Lyapunov functional is developed from the augmentation of Wirtinger's inequality. Such a Lyapunov functional results in efficient and simplified synchronization conditions. A sufficient condition for synchronizability of network systems is set up. Then, for the case of unstable systems with some constant delays, a fresh discretized Lyapunov functional is introduced. Finally, we utilize the numerical simulation outcomes to prove the efficacy and advantage of our algorithm. Moreover, based on the network unmanned ground vehicle systems, the experiment results in a real scenario are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the designed synchronization scheme.
Abstract
Objective
A ‘mucosal connection’ in RA presently attracts increasing attention. We recently described the occurrence of secretory antibodies to citrullinated protein (SC-ACPA) in sera from ...patients with recent-onset RA. The current study was performed to evaluate possible associations between serum levels of secretory ACPA and signs of lung involvement in patients with early, untreated RA.
Methods
One hundred and forty-two RA patients were included as part of the ‘LUng Investigation in newly diagnosed RA’ study. One hundred and six patients were examined with high-resolution CT (HRCT) and 20 patients underwent bronchoscopy, where bronchial biopsies and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) samples were obtained. SC-ACPA in serum and BALF were detected by an enzyme-linked immunoassay. Antibody levels were related to smoking history, pulmonary function, HRCT, BALF cell counts and findings in bronchial biopsies.
Results
SC-ACPA occurred in 16% of the serum samples and in 35% of the BALF samples. SC-ACPA levels in serum correlated with SC-ACPA levels in BALF (σ = 0.50, P = 0.027) and were higher among patients with HRCT parenchymal lung abnormalities (P = 0.022) or bronchiectasis (P = 0.042). Also, ever smoking was more frequent among serum SC-ACPA-positive patients (91% vs 67%, P = 0.023), and the SC-ACPA levels correlated with the number of pack-years (σ=0.20, P = 0.020).
Conclusion
In early, untreated RA, serum levels of SC-ACPA reflect lung involvement in terms of local ACPA levels, smoking and lung abnormalities on HRCT. These findings strengthen the link between mucosal ACPA responses and the lungs in RA.
High density lipoprotein (HDL) decreases in diabetic women more rapidly than what is observed in diabetic men. Here we aimed to study serum LCAT levels and LCAT activity in men and women with type 2 ...diabetes (T2DM) as well as healthy controls.
We measured serum LCAT activity and levels in 40 patients with T2DM plus 40 age–sex and body mass index (BMI)-matched controls. The correlation between LCAT levels and activity was measured in the studied groups, stratified according to gender.
Patients had a lower LCAT activity, diastolic blood pressure, fasting blood sugar, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and a higher LCAT levels than controls. The lower LCAT activity in patients with T2DM was significant after multiple adjustments for age, LCAT levels and BMI, using general linear model (67.9±1.8 vs. 86.5±1.8; P<0.001). Women with T2DM had a lower LCAT activity and a higher LCAT and HDL levels compared to men. The lower LCAT activity in women remained significant after multiple adjustments for age, BMI and LCAT levels; (61.9±3.1 vs. 74.17±3.61; P<0.05). Statin treatment did not have any significant value on the results. HDL was not correlated with LCAT levels or activity in any of the studied populations.
We showed that while LCAT activity is decreased in patients with T2DM, LCAT levels is increased. Patients with T2DM exhibit opposing effects on LCAT activity and LCAT production which is more severe in women. Future prospective studies may elucidate the underlying pathways for these observations.
Direct electrochemistry of a new laccase enzyme immobilized on gold and its application as a biosensor for dopamine (DA) are investigated by voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. ...The sensor demonstrated a redox adsorption behavior with E0\' = + 180 mV vs. Ag/AgCl for immobilized Agaricus bisporus laccase (LacAB) enzyme. The MPA platform was assembled on Au with and without utilization of ultrasounds. Excellent results were obtained by using the enzyme electrode fabricated based on MPA assembled with sonication. The LacAB immobilized in this condition showed a large electrocatalytic activity for oxidation of DA. Accordingly, a third-generation (mediator free) biosensor was constructed for DA. The da concentration could be measured in the linear range of 0.5 to 13.0 and 47.0 to 430.0 mu mol L- 1 with correlation coefficients of 0.999 and 0.989, respectively, and a detection limit of 29.0 nmol L- 1. The biosensor was successfully tested for determination of da in human blood plasma and pharmaceutical samples.
Introduction: The concept of patient satisfaction has become very important in the field of healthcare and the major part of this satisfaction is affected by the quality and variety of hospital hotel ...services. The main purpose of this study is to analyzing the effect of quality of non-medical services (hoteling) of hospitals on satisfaction considering the mediating role of satisfaction with health services in Shahid Fayyaz Bakhsh, Shahid Hasheminejad and Masih Daneshvari hospitals. Method: The type of this study is of applied and descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this study included 48043 recipients of services in the mentioned hospitals. The sampling method is simple relative random judgment and Krejcie and Morgan table was used to determine the sample size. information collected through a researcher-made questionnaire. In order to analyze the data and test the hypotheses from descriptive and inferential statistics through SPSS22 software and also to check the model fit and confirmatory factor analysis from Lee software. Shannon entropy method was used to measure the importance and weight of the studied variables. Results: The weight and priority of each of the research variables implied that the views of service recipients in the field of non-medical services of hospitals, services during treatment, cleaning services, welfare services, human resources, buildings and facilities, and patient nutrition were respectively high to low priorities. Conclusion: Recipients satisfaction of non-medical services was average. Establishing partnership management system and determining their medical priorities and needs might increase their satisfaction .
