The Indonesian Education Curriculum was updated with the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, replacing the 2013 Curriculum. This study aimed to compare the implementation of the Independent ...Curriculum and the 2013 Curriculum. The research used the Library Studies method and analyzed scientific articles from the Google Scholar database. The findings indicate that both curricula are based on the goals of the National Education System, focusing on fostering students' spiritual, religious attitudes, intelligence, and noble character. However, the 2013 Curriculum emphasizes developing student competencies in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects with a scientific approach, while the Merdeka Curriculum prioritizes character building through the Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) and implements differentiated learning to cater to students' individual learning needs.
Abstract
Given their actual revenue and spending, most net equity issuers and an overwhelming majority of net debt issuers would face immediate cash depletion without external financing. Debt issuers ...tend to have short-lived cash needs, while equity issuers often have persistent cash needs. On average, debt issuers immediately spend almost all of the proceeds, while equity issuers retain much of the proceeds in cash. Anticipated near-future cash needs and fixed costs of financing help explain the fraction of the proceeds being retained. Our findings support a funding-horizon theory in which cash needs and the nature of cash needs motivate financing decisions.

We survey institutional investors to better understand their role in the corporate governance of firms. Consistent with a number of theories, we document widespread behind-the-scenes intervention as ...well as governance-motivated exit. These governance mechanisms are viewed as complementary devices, with intervention typically occurring prior to a potential exit. We further find that long-term investors and investors that are less concerned about stock liquidity intervene more intensively. Finally, we find that most investors use proxy advisors and believe that the information provided by such advisors improves their own voting decisions.
Candida auris is an emerging yeast that causes healthcare-associated infections. It can be misidentified by laboratories and often is resistant to antifungal medications. We describe an outbreak of ...C. auris infections in healthcare facilities in New York City, New York, USA. The investigation included laboratory surveillance, record reviews, site visits, contact tracing with cultures, and environmental sampling. We identified 51 clinical case-patients and 61 screening case-patients. Epidemiologic links indicated a large, interconnected web of affected healthcare facilities throughout New York City. Of the 51 clinical case-patients, 23 (45%) died within 90 days and isolates were resistant to fluconazole for 50 (98%). Of screening cultures performed for 572 persons (1,136 total cultures), results were C. auris positive for 61 (11%) persons. Environmental cultures were positive for samples from 15 of 20 facilities. Colonization was frequently identified during contact investigations; environmental contamination was also common.
