In this paper, we introduce a new approach to the study of finite integral formulas associated with special functions, bringing out the incomplete Aleph functions and other well-known special ...functions. Our method is based on the finite integral operator applied to incomplete Aleph functions. This approach makes it easier to derive integral formulas that connect the incomplete Aleph functions using well-known special functions and algebraic expressions. As a result, we can group integral formulas and special functions into different classes according to similar features. Furthermore, we can discover new integral formulas with this framework that are useful for computational applications.
In this article, I analyze the representation of mourning and melancholia in Jorge Luis Borges’s “Emma Zunz” and “El Aleph.” First, I propose a reconceptualization of mourning and melancholia. ...Starting from Freud’s premises, I rethink both concepts to argue that mourning is a social activity anchored on social frames and that melancholia comes from the impossibility of the social frame of mourning to carry and signify a loss. Then, I discuss how the short stories represent mourning processes that, in both cases, are difficult to achieve since the social conditions do not allow the mourner to grieve.
Abstract This article discusses a case that began with the publishing of El Aleph engordado, by Pablo Katchadjian. The author was sued by Maria Kodama, the widow of Jorge Luis Borges and owner of his copyrights. The case then gained notoriety with the creation of the Facebook page “Apoyo a Pablo Katchadjian” and with the metadata tag #JoBorges, used in the movement in Katchadjian’s defense. The article discusses the appropriation of Borges’ text by Katchadjian, as well as the way that both authors’ work begin to circulate in digital platforms. Finally, taking into account the circulation of literary material in digital contexts, this essay reflects on the way the concept of authorship, author and work can be understood in the present context.
The analysis of large structural databases reveals general features and relationships among proteins, providing useful insight. A different approach is required to characterize ubiquitous ...secondary‐structure elements, where flexibility is essential in order to capture small local differences. The ALEPH software is optimized for the analysis and the extraction of small protein folds by relying on their geometry rather than on their sequence. The annotation of the structural variability of a given fold provides valuable information for fragment‐based molecular‐replacement methods, in which testing alternative model hypotheses can succeed in solving difficult structures when no homology models are available or are successful. ARCIMBOLDO_BORGES combines the use of composite secondary‐structure elements as a search model with density modification and tracing to reveal the rest of the structure when both steps are successful. This phasing method relies on general fold libraries describing variations around a given pattern of β‐sheets and helices extracted using ALEPH. The program introduces characteristic vectors defined from the main‐chain atoms as a way to describe the geometrical properties of the structure. ALEPH encodes structural properties in a graph network, the exploration of which allows secondary‐structure annotation, decomposition of a structure into small compact folds, generation of libraries of models representing a variation of a given fold and finally superposition of these folds onto a target structure. These functions are available through a graphical interface designed to interactively show the results of structure manipulation, annotation, fold decomposition, clustering and library generation. ALEPH can produce pictures of the graphs, structures and folds for publication purposes.
ALEPH characterizes the main‐chain geometry of small, noncontinuous fragments to flexibly annotate secondary structure, decompose folds, extract libraries and superpose fragments. Secondary and tertiary structure are described through networks of characteristic vectors, which are defined between the centroids of the Cα and carbonyl O atoms in a peptide.
The primarily object of this article is to derive the solutions of modified fractional kinetic equations (MFKEs) containing the incomplete Aleph functions by using the application of Elzaki and ...inverse Elzaki transforms and hereto we also established some novel results such as the Elzaki transform of well-known the Riemann–Liouville operator and the incomplete Aleph functions (IAFs). The solutions of modified FKEs discusses in this article can be utilized to figures out the variation of the chemical composition in our solar system. In this article, we also see that the character of thermonuclear function is presented in terms of the incomplete ℵ-functions and many more special functions through some interesting corollaries. Finally, we established here a compact and easily figure out solutions in form of incomplete special functions and display the graphs of the obtained results in the end of this article to show the behavior of integral operator of fractional order on reaction rate of the particle. Furthermore, results holds here are also associated to the recent investigation of feasible astrophysical solutions of solar system problems. The derived results notify the known results more precisely.
In this paper, we obtain a integral involving the general class of polynomials (Srivastava polynomials) and Special functions which are the adequately general in nature and are capable of yielding a ...large number of simpler and useful results merely by specializing the parameters. For the sake of illustration, some corollaries are also recorded here as special case of our main result.
