In his work the architect Ljubomir Micevic specifically focuses on domestic architecture of single-family houses and smaller apartment buildings (colloquially called urban villas). On the one hand ...the structures of a linear plan are rooted in the traditional vernacular typology while on the other the smaller apartment building type is varied with almost square-shaped plans. His long-standing preoccupation with modernization processes in terms of advanced technological solutions of ecological and energy-efficient architecture has resulted in a research-based architecture as an interface between architecture and energy industry that is realized within the available financial restraints. Fruitful collaboration between the scientific institutions and building industry has resulted in the first Croatian ECO_SANDWICH house with three apartments in Koprivnica. Since 1975 Ljubomir Micevic has been tireless and persistent promoter of ecological and energy-efficient sustainable architecture presented on a regular annual exhibition called "Days of the passive house in Croatia".
FABRIS, STANKO PODGORICA, MONTENEGRO RESIDENTIAL SKYSCRAPER 1960S So far scientifically unexplored, residential skyscrapers by architect Stanko Fabris in Podgorica, represent a part of his ...realisations from the early 1960s. As first skyscrapers built in this town and in Montenegro, with a series of functional, design and technical-technological innovations, they hold a special place in the urban morphology and typology of collective housing in Podgorica, as well as in Fabris's architectural body of work. Dosad znanstveno neobradeni stambeni neboderi arhitekta Stanka Fabrisa izgradeni u Podgorici dio su njegovih realizacija s pocetka 60-ih godina 20. stoljeca. Prvi neboderi u ovome gradu i Crnoj Gori--dominantni u ortogonalnoj matrici, s nizom funkcionalnih, oblikovnih i tehnicko-tehnoloskih inovacija--zauzimaju posebno mjesto u urbanoj morfologiji i tipologiji kolektivnoga stanovanja na ovim prostorima, ali i u Fabrisovu arhitektonskom opusu.
