‘Automatic cooking machine’ as the name itself implies, cooking of food automatically without any human effort. Main aim is to make cooking easier, simple and less time consuming.1 The machine will ...have pre-loaded recipes of your choice and the amount of ingredients will be specified in a C-language program, so you just have to choose the recipe you want to eat and the machine will start to prepare your food and notify you when the food is ready.2 In present day scenario there is a rapid increase in inventions of machines which are based on automation process and they are used in every sector from home to industries. Our machine consists of induction cooker, bowls, oil and water pump, spice dispenser and some other components whose purpose is for stepwise addition of ingredients and cooking the food eventually. We have newly designed cooking pot which avoids the foods from burning. This machine can prepare food as close as food which can be prepared by a human hand. For communicating with the machine, we have installed a HMI interface through which we give command to the machine and every working process of the machine is controlled by Arduino2560 kit. This machine can be used in our day to day life and even in industries for mass production of certain food products.
The Huayuanzhuang East oracle bone inscriptions form a corpus of more than 2500 individual divination accounts, which were engraved on turtle shells and bovine scapulae in the late Shang dynasty (c. ...1200 B.C.). The book offers the first complete English annotation of these fascinating epigraphic texts and introduces the reader to key aspects of daily life in early Chinese civilization.
Two experiments evaluated the effects of the simple‐to‐complex and simultaneous training protocols on the formation of academically relevant equivalence classes. The simple‐to‐complex protocol ...intersperses derived relations probes with training baseline relations. The simultaneous protocol conducts all training trials and test trials in separate portions of the protocol. In Experiments 1 and 2, participants formed 4 3‐ and 4‐member neuroanatomy classes, respectively. When trained with the simple‐to‐complex protocol, 100% of participants immediately formed the 3‐ or 4‐member classes. When trained with the simultaneous protocol, the 3‐ and 4‐member classes were formed immediately by 75% and 42% of participants, respectively. Thus, the immediate emergence of equivalence classes was an interactive function of training protocol and class size. The remaining participants eventually formed classes after a few cycles of retraining. The incorporation of these training and testing parameters could optimize the use of equivalence‐based instruction for teaching college‐level course content.
Despite the large number of publications on Search-Based Software Testing (SBST), there remain few publicly available tools. This paper introduces AUSTIN, a publicly available open source SBST tool ...for the C language.1http://code.google.com/p/austin-sbst/.1 The paper is an extension of previous work 1. It includes a new hill climb algorithm implemented in AUSTIN and an investigation into the effectiveness and efficiency of different pointer handling techniques implemented by AUSTIN’s test data generation algorithms.
To evaluate the different search algorithms implemented within AUSTIN on open source systems with respect to effectiveness and efficiency in achieving branch coverage. Further, to compare AUSTIN against a non-publicly available, state-of-the-art Evolutionary Testing Framework (ETF).
First, we use example functions from open source benchmarks as well as common data structure implementations to check if the decision procedure for pointer inputs, introduced in this paper, differs in terms of effectiveness and efficiency compared to a simpler alternative that generates random memory graphs. A second empirical study formulates two alternate hypotheses regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of AUSTIN compared to the ETF. These hypotheses are tested using a paired Wilcoxon test.
The first study highlights some practical problems with the decision procedure for pointer inputs described in this paper. In particular, if the code under test contains insufficient guard statements to enforce constraints over pointers, then using a constraint solver for pointer inputs may be suboptimal compared to a method that generates random memory graphs. The programs used in the second study do not require any constraint solving for pointer inputs and consist of eight non-trivial, real-world C functions drawn from three embedded automotive software modules. For these functions, AUSTIN is competitive compared to the ETF, achieving an equal or higher branch coverage for six of the functions. In addition, for functions where AUSTIN’s branch coverage is equal or higher, AUSTIN is more efficient than the ETF.
Teaching programming to pre-university students has attracted a great deal of attention in the last years. The benefits of teaching programming before University have been investigated by taking ...several approaches to improve the students' learning scores, motivation and satisfaction levels. Serious Games (SGs) are also gaining an increasing research interest for education. SGs can be defined as games designed for a primary goal other for than pure entertainment. In the case of this paper, the DFD-C serious game has been created to investigate whether High School students will improve their learning of programming fundamentals and, if there are gender differences in the improvement. Moreover, it is explored the perception of the gameful experience by the students when using a serious game such as DFD-C, and if this perception is different in the case of boys or girls. An experiment with 38 K-10 High School students has been carried out during the 2019-2020 academic year. All students took a pre-test at the beginning of the experiment. After that, they were randomly split into a control group (no use of DFD-C) and a test group (use of DFD-C). Finally, all of them took the same test (post-test) to measure their learning gains. The test group also completed the Gamefulquest questionnaire to evaluate their perception of the gameful experience. A significant improvement in the scores of the test students was registered, with no gender differences. Moreover, the answers to the Gamefulquest reveal that students had a positive gameful experience, being the ratings of the girls slightly higher than boys. It is concluded that using SGs to teach learning programming fundamentals to High School students increased their learning scores and students perceived the sense of playfulness, guidance and social experience of the SG without having significant differences between girls and boys.
CDIO Conceive is the abbreviation of conceptual, Design, Implement and Operate. In this paper, combined with the current teaching situation of "C language programming" course, based on CDIO ...engineering education concept, the construction and implementation method of "integration of teaching, learning and doing" in the network course of "C language programming" was introduced, and the integrated teaching system such as integrated curriculum system, integrated training environment, integrated curriculum standards and teaching materials, and integrated teaching team was put forward. The system takes students as the main body, teachers as the leading factor, the content setting is from simple to comprehensive, and the teaching methods are flexible and changeable. Practice has proved that the new teaching model plays a positive role in cultivating students' ability to analyze and solve problems, practice and team cooperation.
Image processing is any form of signal processing where the input is an image such as a photo or video frame. Image acquisition or that produces an input image in the first place is called imaging. ...This process has the characteristics of input data and output information in the form of images. The term digital image processing is generally defined as two-dimensional image processing by computer. In a broader definition, digital image processing also includes all two-dimensional data. A digital image is a series of real or complex numbers represented by certain bits. In the field of modern medical science, a doctor is able to analyze a patient's disease through a visual image of the results of an internal disease or more modern a doctor can use the CT-SCAN reading technique ( Computed Tomography) which is able to draw visually as well as more modern MRI techniques displaying data in 3 dimensions so that it is more accurate.
This volume brings together leading scholars in their fields who offer much needed and wide-ranging perspectives on the intersections of genders, cultures, and literacies. As incidents of racial and ...gender aggression grow in number and in global attention, it is essential to understand how racial and gender identities and their expressions interplay and influence literacy development and practice. Contributors examine how social identities intersect and are expressed in literacy practices across an array of school and out-of-school settings and discuss how gender and race are represented in individuals’ multimodal practices. Chapters address such topics as the literacy practices of incarcerated fathers of color, Black girls’ literacies, Indigenous students’ cultural literacies, the writing practices of Latinx women for identity representation, and more. Ideal for scholars in literacy studies, gender studies, and cultural studies, this volume is a necessary and original update to the ways cultural, racial, and gender identities are viewed in current educational and sociocultural climates.
